People blaming Buckley need their heads checked. The writing was on the wall in last year's finals. The game plan was being worked out. Keeping Mick would change nothing. Instead, the same people would be saying how we should have sacked him and went with Bucks.
Agree Hutchy, there haven't been any tactical errors so that's not any fault in Buckley's department. I think the players are to blame for tonight.

Hey, at least we had a good couple years. Now we're back to an average team. Makes watching the H&A season more edge of your seat thrilling at least!

This handball to stationary targets and kicking blindly was not a malthouse invention. I don't know what they are doing or who's fault it is but its just trash footy.

Carlton favourites for the flag? Because of a couple of easy wins and a poor performance by us. Carlton favourites to win the flag? Just dosen't seem right to me

Game reminds me of rnd 4 2010 got smashed but then recovered and went on to win the premiership

Sorry mate but rnd 4 2010 we didnt get smashed we smashed the hawks

What would mick do right now. Chb gone in the first your best hard at it on baller out in the second. Not to mention the players out already. What would mick do?

We are getting smashed no question but to say we are shit and Buckley is no good is rubbish. I'm hurting as much as anyone but we are not gone by any means.

Looking at this objectively..

It might be training management, it might be injuries, it might be bucks is actually a poor coach...

The fact is we played spirited footy under Mick, we played for each other and we played with passion and our tackling pressure was second to none.

All those aspects have been no where to be seen and all fingers will be pointed at bucks.

I have never been so disappointed at a performance and bucks sits in the box stone faced with no emotion and you have to wonder.. does he have the personality to manage a team. Because if you have short comings as a tactical coach you need to be damn sure you can motivate your players and have that connection that Mick appeared to have with our boys.

I for one don't want to hit the panic button too early, but it is clear something has to change.. A team with no heart is a team that will ultimately fail.

This will be a very interesting season!

Agree. It's some really basic things we are stuffing up.

Sorry, questions need to be asked.

I was avoiding saying it, but we've been playing with zero intent, zero effort, zero motivation.

We need to find out why.

Totally agree mate. Injuries don't help but whats this this silly hand balling all the time? I just don't get that.....

Atleast the players were trying their guts out. Tonight performance has been deplorable.

Our gameplan was far from spent, how the hell did we win 20 add games. Losing to Geelong is nothing to be ashamed of. I cant believe we changed coach when we were still at the top of our game.

You'd think Brown would need to come back in next week and probably Jonno.

BTW you can put no blame for this on Sinclair. A guy who has played 5 games.
None of our senior team stood up. The blame is solely on them.

Cant really blame Bucks either, not his fault our players arent tackling.

Yes they are to blame. You're telling me that we would have won with Malthouse tonight. No chance in hell. Swan is walking around like a hedgehog, backlines not quick enough, players skills are useless.

I suppose when Geelong hammered us in round 22 last year, and we played shit in the three finals, Malthouse did a great job then?

Sitting here at the G. I've never left a game early, but **** me i am tempted to right now. Pathetic.

Will we beat Port next week?

Will be hard to match up on their tall forwards. If they play Schultz, Butcher, Westhoff down forward they will stretch us.

Assume he means round 3 against the Saints

Agree. What is he meant to do? We're down three key backs and have to play a terrible O'Brien, down to two on the bench and Jolly has been so pathetic he should be dropped next week. Our mids have been awful, but they're getting nothing from the rucks.
