I get that, but he is complaining that pies fans miss out because of this set up.
I disagree Silver can purchase in club section if they want, golds will be fine.

Might of made it slightly easier with some prioritising Coll Vs Bris over Cats v Hawks.

Otherwise if they can upgrade to L1, 2 and 2A, why even mention it as they would have access everywhere in that case.

I think the AFL created the page content before the games were known but forgot to edit it once they decided silvers were sentenced to level 4. Had it been Geelong vs. Adelaide the perhaps silvers would have been allowed on level 1.
The reason for mentioning each level was the prices varied slightly.

You are completely wrong, if both go on sale then neutrals can choose 1 game or the other. Yes I think neutrals would decide Hawks v Cats is a better game and they’d prioritise that.

In this scenario they can go to both, so Cats and Hawks gold members are still worse off as all neutrals don’t need to prioritise so they’ll all go to Hawks v Cats and Pies v Lions and all competing members are screwed.

You do realise with no competition, you’re also worse off…

Not everyone, but again this increases the number of neutrals who may choose to, and now be a better chance at getting tickets, go to both PFsl.

A great outcome for the neutral gold members, but IMHO will mean that more actual club support members of Geelong, Hawks, Pies and Lions will miss out.

I guess that is what the AFL members is about though.

I bought through the Collingwood entitlement in 2023 because it was earlier and I didn’t want to risk it.

Correct. But I wish they would put club members sales on after AFL or at the least let AFL members buy tickets in the club support sale at AFL prices.

If you as a Gold member want to sit with a silver member you have to upgrade to L4 as its your only option.

The AFL Members Finals hub suggests that only AFL Member gold can buy via the club allocation subject to availability, in that it specifically calls out Gold can do this, but makes no mention of whether AFL Membership Silver can or not.

Surely silvers can.
My advice to silvers is to buy via the club allocation. You won't be stuck with back of level 4 and the price is no worse. Worked for me in 2019 anyway.

10 years minimum. I was about 10500 for 2017 and I have moved up 7000 on 8 years.

Interesting how much the wait for gold has blown out. I signed up in 07 and we got to Gold in 19. I don't think a 12 year wait is too bad but it sounds like it's getting a bit crazy now.
