Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
7 goals from 8 games and is 31. Makes sense if low cost and you have the replacement ready in 2 years to take over, say like Sophie Butterworth…I don’t see with her leaving who we have except for Eardley but then we have no tall KPD.View attachment 2493481
Looks like we are bolstering the forward line.
Bit worried. Dupuy could be a final piece to a forward line but could she lead one and take pressure off Aine? And the depth behind to be tested with no Marge. Relying on Vukic/Symonds improving their forward craft.
See Adelaide got Egan for a bag of chips. Meanwhile we can't address the defence either. Binder will have her work cut out for her.

Martin, who missed North Melbourne's 2025 season after returning to Ireland, is still deciding on whether to join Hetherington at Collingwood or take up an enticing offer to play for Hawthorn next year.

Hawthorn has emerged as the circuit breaker in trade talks taking Brisbane spearhead Taylor Smith to Sydney after a three-club deal for the two-time premiership player progressed strongly on Tuesday. Smith, as well as picks No.11, 15, 18 and the Swans' future first-round selection, are all a chance of being involved in a mega deal with a series of later picks also swapping hands between the three clubs.

A number of clubs – including Essendon and Hawthorn – have since looked to swoop in on [Brooke] Boileau, though she remains adamant on heading to Carlton if negotiations can be resumed on Wednesday.

Hawthorn is holding out for a first-round pick to be involved in trade talks for former captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd, though the GWS offer has only involved a future second-round selection so far.
Jacqui Dupuy decided on a trade to Hawthorn on Tuesday, having also had interest from Essendon, with Gold Coast set to stash yet more draft picks away for its Academy talent in a deal for the veteran forward.
St Kilda is locked in negotiations around a move for Hawthorn youngster Sophie Butterworth
Forgive a Giants supporter dropping in but yeah might be so: https://www.timeout.com/australia/n...ey-love-living-in-sydneys-bondi-bubble-050224Baseless speculation on my part, but wouldn’t be surprised if it may well be Hawthorn have done nothing wrong, but Tilly’s seemingly newish partner prefers to be in Sydney or something?

Tilley is a good footballer, but they were not the best by foot. Also heard from someone no longer at the hawks that tilley wasn't overly thrilled to relinquish the captaincy to BatesTLR for F2, F2 and F3.
ex-Hawk Kate McCarthy made it clear on the AFL.com.au feed that it was the Hawks pushing them out and Nat Martin alludes that Aine's extension perhaps caused a salary squeeze
Who would be sunshine and rainbows in that position? The fact they were always professional on the field and then thrived with a position change too is more important imo than any private grumblings.Tilley is a good footballer, but they were not the best by foot. I think thats where Symonds will end up. She is very good over head and a good size, we already have the rucks covered atm with Wales and then even Vukic as backup.Bit worried. Dupuy could be a final piece to a forward line but could she lead one and take pressure off Aine? And the depth behind to be tested with no Marge. I harped on about it all season, our biggest issue is inside 50s. Fix that and we contend.Whilst we have hardly put ourselves into the Roos territory of flag contenders, I feel we ended up doing ok in the trade period.
Martin is a great get and will provide a point of difference in our midfield mix, complimenting the grunt work done by Bates, West and Fleming.
Dupuy will be a good signing for us. Despite her age, she takes heat off of Aine and gives us another marking forward target.
I'm sure we've got someone that can take kick-ins and distribute off half back to replace TLR.
IN
Jac Dupuy (trade, Gold Coast), Niamh Martin (trade, North Melbourne)
OUT
Rebecca Clottey (delisted), Nat Exon (delisted), Kristy Stratton (delisted), Sophie Butterworth (trade, St Kilda), Tilly Lucas-Rodd (trade, Greater Western Sydney)
As expected, inaugural captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd has been traded to GWS, having requested the move earlier in the month. It creates a gap at the back of stoppage for the Hawks, with the 2024 All-Australian often used as a sweeper and distributor behind the contest. After failing to land key forward support for best and fairest winner Aine McDonagh last year, the Hawks have successfully added contested marking key Jac Dupuy from Gold Coast. With the ability to also take ruck taps in the front half of the ground, her height will be welcomed after the club was seriously tested late in the year for that height right across the ground. Draftee Rebecca Clottey was delisted during the season, and it was Nat Exon who made her way onto the list in her place. Exon, however, has now also been delisted alongside small forward Kristy Stratton. Key forward Sophie Butterworth made her way to St Kilda, having struggled to break into the Hawks' side even when desperate for a key forward option, while the run and agility of Niamh Martin has been added, which will neatly complement the contested ball work of the likes of Eliza West, Emily Bates, and Daisy Flockart.
In what everyone here probably understands is likely a last hurrah, Gilroy signs on for next year
