Ah. Fair. I didn't spend much time thinking about matchups. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me.

Vanilla team and I'm somehow ranked 5,517 (15k teams). Didn't help that I left 110 points on the bench. Fish and Rentsch were excellent on debut. Most players performed reasonably well. Rowbottom and Stannett are heavily owned but Heads on the lower end of the vanilla scale means she probably has to go this week.

1229, which is pretty blergh, but with 3 bench options outscoring their on field counterparts, could be worse. It'll be the most cash my bench has ever generated, and every player played, so I'll take the little wins in a pretty biazzare round.

Got cash to fix the issues, but gunna be playing a bit of catchup which sucks. No forced trades which is always nice for the W.

Lots to consider though. Stannett could be an issue, I don't love her role with Aish Mc back. Same with Brown with Issy back, which I frickin' should knew but really wanted to get up to Riddell. Kos could be a forced trade, I could see her getting dropped.

I'm not sure. She gave away 5 FA and her around the ground work was not the best. I actually had L.Wales as my main ruck all pre-season, and was swapping back from her and Strom, but all the experts predicted Scholz to take that step up with the new rules, considering she is young and mobile. But is she mobile? She was okay at best. Everyone also said she is main ruck as Port don't have any other 'listed' ruck, but Port did use Brook as backup ruck in preseason and this continued today. I kept thinking where is Scholz (when Brook was taking the ruck duties), she was resting up forward, because her TOG was actually pretty high, but I kept searching and couldn't find her on the ground. Anyway, she reminded me of why I don't like her as a pick. Gave away too many frees (similar to Morphett).

I only have 152k in the bank and Scholz will probably drop quite a bit in cash. Other than going all the way down to H.Harris, not sure what else I'd be able to do. No way to get up to Strom this early on.

Anyone trading Centra? 22 points against Carlton, and it's not like Carlton is great or anything. But I could see her getting a goal or two versus GWS.

At this point I'm definitely trading Vescio out and maybe going Dunlop to Harris.

Centra, Kos, Dunlop, Stannett and Scholz are my main concerns in my team.

Centra will improve with better TOG, but her BE might be much higher and she will drop in price
Kos was my lowest scorer. Annoying because I had Amber Clarke at D6 all preseason and thought I'd save a bit to go Kos.
Dunlop was decent, but H.Harris is a must. Could I go Scholz to Harris? Would make getting Strom very difficult though.
Stannett scored 44 with 2 goals. If she hadn't kicked those goals... it would've been a score in the 30s, which is atrocious. I think she is a high priority trade.

I wish I'd started Bogue over Kos, but the promise of CBAs was too tempting, similar to Bacon. TOG was a massive issue for me all round, but Brown and Toogood's I did not see coming at all.

No idea what I'm going to do until we see price changes.

Fairly happy with my mids except Rowbottom. Went with Prespakis over Newton, I did swap it around and then back hah. Feels like Dockers have too many mouths to feed with Turbo back now and in her groove.

Koenen and Paxman I'll take for now but was hoping for more. O'Shea only got 42 which is fine for now but when Kearney comes back I might have to reassess but that's a few weeks away.

Window did ok in the end, a little over her price point.

Possible moves:
Elsa (to Ott?) as her low TOG doesn't help
Stannett to ?

Fish also confuses me, I don't want that many points on the bench so do I give Rowbottom another week and then if she still looks bad and Fish scores well do I dump Charlie and shore up every other line with the cash... questions questions.

Bench was alright - Bogue and Howley were my last 2 picked and did alright. Dunlop and Strom not great but at 300k that's what I usually expect. Tempted by Harris but will likely be too exxy for the bench.

Scored a 1377.
I was highly considering moving Paxy to red dot to take Rentsch's 75 and Garner's VC, which would've netted me an extra 32 points, but at the last second, I just backed Paxy in. They were doing well, but slowed down considerably. Not sure why (age, ball wasn't down back, etc). Anyway, that 32 points would've had me ranked 3rd.

I'm expecting Barnett to be more expensive than Stannett once we open. In retrospect Barnett was a much safer option, but I'd completely talked myself into the narrative that Stannett would get enough midfield time to score well. Barnett got 100% CBAs in their game (out of 8, but still).

Barnett was main ruck in preseason as well and got all the CBAs. Stannett had CBAs in preseason. Will be interesting to see if she had any this game. I was only watching on and off, so mostly saw her when the ball was forward. She laid some good tackles and had some good smothers up forward.

Sorry, I wasn't clear, but that's what I meant. I feel like I should have been more keen on Barnett after the preseason game and less keen on Stannett. Stannett was 4/7, which is over 50%, but was less than Newton and Bowers and we knew that McCarthy was coming back. I also thought Ange was more of a consistent scorer prior to her injury, but 44 is more in line with most of her career, other than that one year in the middle (before McCarthy and Newton had arrived).

When she's getting CBAs, she's more around the 70 mark, but if she's not getting them and playing some half forward role, then yeh, she's about the 40 mark.

Your least favourite defender down, Rentsch on field, Stannett to ???, Scholz to Strom? I don't know if that'll check out, but at least Strom should lose a little bit of cash.

Main problem is Scholz probably dropped more than Strom in price. Stannett to ??? is the tough one as she probably dropped in price too.
