All this Centra hype and the fact that she's a Pie means that I just can't miss the (potential) cash train. Fiddled around with my bench to move Kos (fingers crossed) from U into F6 and swapped Emma McDonald (F6) into Centra (new U).

I now have Zippy Fish and Centra both warming the pine, but at least I won't miss any cash generation. And am still very happy with my essentially completed midfield.

I’ve considered Birch, but I dunno if it was Saints style chip chip piss taking.

Someone should assume her points but it’s just a matter of who.

Birch, Bresnehan, O’Shea would be the leading candidates. Would have to wait until teams to get a clear picture, all three would save money in the final defensive spot

Shannon and Ferguson are the other two key defenders on the list, Wright is another but she won’t play because of personal reasons

I gave a lot of thought to bringing in Birch for exactly that, and I don't hate the idea. I quite like it.

I've just been too burnt by injuries and role changes in the past to start players for 2 weeks. I tried to pull off those for the double game weeks last year, and got ahead for a bit, but then fell off a cliff. W gets wild with injuries, especially to premos, and there's always gunna be the need to correct and fix.

My whole strategy is either complete set and forget, or longer term value and wait for the upgrade targets/standouts to emerge.

I'd be incredibly wary of Goldsworthy and Molloy. Both will more than likely bleed an awful lot of money.

Goldsworthy spent most of the praccy forward, and had 6 touches. Molloy had 5 touches in a half.

We're short of forward options, but I wouldn't be going anywhere near either.

What's your opinion on Tarni Evans? Will she mostly be playing forward like last year?

100% forward, no doubt about it. Roams a bit, but she's considered a leader up forward now.

I think there's plenty of value in Ham, they're are all in on her having a breakout season.

Speaking of Gardiner though, here's what I'll be rolling with if Kos isn't named. If Kos is in, I'll cut Tonon and get in Ridell instead. Feels fairly safe and samey, but $100K ITB for corrections.

Birch had 10 marks, which is an unusual amount of marks. I didn't watch the game, but looks like there were only 2 Essendon behinds, so only 2 kick ins. Were they switching over and over or could've just been because the gap between North and Essendon is so big that Essendon couldn't get their hands on it.

From what I've read/watched/seen, and given only the handful of options up forward, pretty much every starting side is gunna look pretty similar, just with a different balance of mid/defensive premos. Or in my case, no defensive premos at all.

She's been the main ruck, but that's only because O'Dowd has been tied up in Ireland as Meath made the Gaelic GF, and only got back to Aus this week.

Absolutly no idea until teams drop which way they'll go. North have flat out refused to play Wall, O'Dowd's Gaelic teammate.

I've settled on this for now. Hopefully it's somewhat on track to be a competitive team.

Yeah I saw those comments by Crocker about Wall. Shouldn't take her long to force her way into the team though, she's an absolute unit and gun once she's up and running. Could be a good target to bring in a few rounds in I dare say.

Mostly comfortable with my mid heavy team except I really want to squeeze in Prespakis over Gardiner to take advantage of her potential upside/cheaper price and allow me to upgrade a fwd (say Clarke to Window) or back (Ott to McLaughlin). Anyone have faith in Prespakis being on par score wise with Gardiner? 1 game only but damn what a praccy game. Gardiner no slouch either with a 115 or so.
