this year's draft is beyond loaded. Most clubs will get 2 elite talents out of it and expect first round picks to be HOT property in the trade period. Will take a very good offer to get one out of clubs

Carlton and Gold Coast most likely open for business with the Blues having star mid/forward Sophie McKay as a father daughter, whilst the Suns have likely top 3 pick Havana Harris (ruck/mid/forward) and midfielder Tara Harrington (late first or early second), as well as classy half back/midfielder Mia Sailsbury coming through their academy.

Believe a single game of VFL/AFL could get someone's daughter on a AFLW list as a father daughter pick.

e.g Bryde O'Rourke, whose Dad played two games for the Cats in the 60s

Going to make life really interesting for Sunny Lappin next year. Good prospect but is, at best, the fourth best of the 2007 born Gold Coast Academy players, with Ava Usher, Dekota Baron, and Georja Davies all shaping as potential top 5 picks. Suns will need to do some maneuvering to get them, though. W bid matching rules make it difficult and no future trading will compound it further

Well I can only assume Bec Clottey is on the inactive list for some reason too, as she hasn’t been sighted on the AFLW social media, the stands at the games or in full squad shots of the training squad for quite a few months? Clottey was our final draft pick last year.

That is strange! Not sure it's wise to speculate as it could be for personal reasons, but definitely something to note for numbers now and the off-season.
