Brilliant SANFLW players.

Gore was crap at Freo but despite some rough edges was an important structural piece that played a decent role in a premiership winning side off halfback (a position the team still struggles with) and McKinnon as well was another important structural piece that helped Gould out immensely that the team still hasn’t replaced.I get what you're saying but Gore was crap and was delisted by Fremantle after two seasons with no further AFLW interest, and McKinnon can't get on the park
Taking McKinnon in the ruck everyday of the week over whatever Jess Allen has put out there from about halfway through the 2024 season. Both were more than handy, but I'm not sure they'd be getting consistent games today. Perhaps McKinnon could play up forward?
Our area of weakness is in our midfield depth and our forward line. We seem to have recruited an extraordinary number of players that don't address either issue. Hopefully Rasheed sticks around because we desperately need her.

Agree to disagree, I thought McKinnon was going to be a total star as a junior - probably the best mark of a football I’ve seen as a junior in women’s football, was poorly developed, mismanaged, dropped every other game and sat on the bench a lot at the Crows and then done the knees at Richmond so tough to judge what she could’ve been but while McKinnon had some deficiencies with tap-work, Jess Allan always had a lot more deficiencies as a junior and those have carried over - her intensity drop offs, labouring in 2nd half’s, positioning and too easily pushed out of contests were all there as a junior.Certainly over her 2025 form. But on the whole, getting Allan back for free essentially makes losing McKinnon a wash.
Great mark, horrid kick and didn't have the work ethic by her own admission.Agree to disagree, I thought McKinnon was going to be a total star as a junior - probably the best mark of a football I’ve seen as a junior in women’s football, was poorly developed, mismanaged, dropped every other game and sat on the bench a lot at the Crows and then done the knees at Richmond so tough to judge what she could’ve been but while McKinnon had some deficiencies with tap-work, Jess Allan always had a lot more deficiencies as a junior and those have carried over - her intensity drop offs, labouring in 2nd half’s, positioning and too easily pushed out of contests were all there as a junior.
Good on her for reading the room.Stevie-Lee Thompson has retired
I'm hoping we gave her a tap on the shoulder but let her announce it if she wanted to.Good on her for reading the room.
She goes out as a triple premiership player, having played in three different roles across those three flags. Pretty damn impressive.
