Which is funny as I don’t want them to go anywhere near Trengove, has massive X-Factor sure but with Rasheed, Ponter & Jones in the team that’s not the current team’s problem - consistency, running power and strength are a long with skill/decision making reliability.

I've always got a soft spot for the high fitness, big workrate kind of players. But its not like I've watched any of them. I'm only relying on write-ups and the occasional highlights package.

My favourite player in the draft (Jade McLay) does fit that bill but doubtful if they take Bown that the Crows look at another Vic Metro product… wouldn’t be the worst idea though, lower chance of both going/not making it like with McAsey and Worrell.

Between taking Port superfan Rasheed who was considered much better than our pick last year, and now the most talented Victorian in the draft, we're taking some risks to find serious talent. Good! It's not like the conservative approach was helping us to retain our first-round selections anyway.

It’s still not the worst going around in just this draft alone… speaking of which Trengove taken by Pies which is really anoying as it probably means Eaton is Port bound.

Ball magnet, big tackle numbers, leadership potential, "interesting" left-foot kick... sounds like another Marinoff!

In any event, plenty of 50m on-target kicks in those highlights packages.

Dual sided unlike Noffy… how decent both those sides are is a small worry but that said Rowbottom and Georgie Prespakis have been able to dominate the comp without even that and that’s who she reminds me of.

Lots of players being drafted away from their home states... that hopefully bodes well for us. If it becomes the norm, then players will be less likely to be upset when we do it, and let's face it, we'll need to do it if we want to get back on top again.

Reports were correct… yet again, take Waye with pick 21. Still think it’s a slight reach, very athletically gifted. Will require a bit of development which has not been the team’s greatest strength in the past.
