She’s impressive in basically every game she plays, she’s the best player in the draft crop

A legit all-round gun. For someone with such elite offensive weapons, her defensive efforts are equally as elite. I don’t think I’ve seen someone with that balance, her smothering efforts are full-flight dives.

I haven’t watched games other than champs trying to learn

17 for Vic Metro. Listed as Hipwell, commentators said Hipwell. Maybe it was Hipwell, it just didn't look like Hipwell to me.
11 for Vic Country. Similar to above - listed as Shepherd, commentators said Shepherd. Dark hair, though, which would be a change for EmShep.
12 for VC. Commentators didn't know this one either. The VC list I have had a handful of players with no numbers, so probably one of them.

Also Indi Makai was #1 (originally #9) and Brooke Smith was #9 (not awarded a number originally). At three quarter time I went up and told the commentators the correct numbers so he could correctly call the Makai goal given previously he’d called her Keck due to the outdated team list.

Not trying to discredit anyones season but there's a few surprises in the inclusion to both teams, Wilcox, Busch and Taylor in particular I would've thought would be in the AFL Academy side rather than some of those that are in ahead of them, should be a good contest regardless though, outside of a few in the AFL squad it looks quite even

I think they might have deliberately tried to make it a bit more even, they mentioned Skepper is in the U23s side too even though she's captain and MVP at Vic Country.

Barring one or two it's basically Qld + NSW/ACT + WA + SA on one side and NT + Tas + overagers on the other, with Vic Metro and Vic Country players split in any old way they felt like doing it.

Yeah Academy has a stacked midfield with Ewings, Fleming and Ham the likely starting combo, then Gee, Baskaran, Hurley, Roberts, Mason, Hamilton's x2, Goldsworthy, Smith and Kustermann could all roll through there, probably Cleaverr and Bushby as well but I haven't watched any WA this year. I still think the top enders like Ham, Roberts, Ewings, Fleming, Gee will be too much for the U23's.

It will be an absolute bloodbath. Imagine Ella Roberts inside 50 with a midfield that can pinpoint her and she doesn’t have to carry the side by working overtime up the field!

I also wonder if SANFLW finals have come into calculations. Both West Adelaide (Kustermann) and Eagles (Goody) can’t make finals, but Ewings (Norrh Adelaide) and Sarah Goodwin (Glenelg, I reckon she would have been asked) both have huge last round games to determine finals order, so I just wonder.
