It's just my interpretation of your post TG. As an author you need to understand that people will read meaning into your posts that you may or may not intend. I thought that your use of pronouns was telling but then again I may be mistaken.
This was what I took from the post but thought that could have been because I'm female. Interesring to see I wasn't the only person to get that vibe.

You don't replace Eddie. You can't. He saved us, transformed our club and for that we will be forever indebted.

From seeing Alisa standing next to Ed at the Essendon game I saw what was most important to me. She looked how I felt. She was disappointed and she was hurting. I want to see the passion in them that I have for the club.

The job is Eddies as long as he wants it IMO but when the time comes I hope people look at Alisa and see more than just a pretty blonde.

So us winning a premiership then Mick quitting on us is a stuff up. OK

Yes and No.

No as we won the Flag but Since Bucks took over we been going down and has not looked like going up since

So that is Eddies fault? because it was agreed upon that Mick would stand down and take a director of coaching job and mentor Bucks for 3 years and then quit?

It was Ed’s Idea

It was Ed’s Idea
So? It was not Ed's idea for Mick to quit. Mick agreed to it then changed his mind.
What proof do you have that we would have won more premierships without Ed's plan? I would argue we would not have won the one we did without Ed's plan.
Mick could still be coaching us today with no premiership if there was no end date for head coach Mick.

Yes it was not Ed’s Idea for MM to quit but still to Hand Over did not go very Smoothly

Dave, Mick agreed to a deal to stay and oversee the rookie coach.
But his pride and ego got in the way and he couldn't handle the demotion.
So our rookie coach was left without a mentor. Without a man with over two decades of experience to pass on.
As the transition hinged on this period to succeed it is not a suprise that it hasn't.
You should be filthy on the old carnt for breaching our trust.

And what is to say that the same would not have occurred under MM. If I recall MM took us to grandfinals (2002 and 2003) and the following few years saw us drop so badly we receive a priority pick. Why is it assumed that if MM stayed after another two grandfinal appearances we would not have suffered a similar fate.

Those bemoaning our current state live in the assumed fantasy that if MM stayed we would be performing better. This is only an assumption that can never be proved or disproved, hence people have license to claim either position. I for one think that if MM stayed we may have preformed slightly better but still not have won a flag. 2012 we were killed by injuries and after that year time had got to some key players and other teams went past us.

What I do believe is that under Buckley our list regeneration is probably better than it would have been if MM has stayed. So if Buckley can coach great. If not so be it. The upside is if the next bloke can coach the list he is working with is better than if he was taking over from MM.

I thought Eade came in as the Mentor?
