Ladies and Gentlemen (and Frodo),

Been awhile, hasn't it - I am sure you have missed me.

After a wager with a couple of your posters on this fair board, based on weekend's results of course - it was either post today, or not at all - and wouldn't you know the luck?

So in keeping with that, a few points:

1. Heritage jumper

Is the current jumper really the best you could do? Surely, even if it was the canary yellow thing from the '87 season, or surely a premiership jumper you could have made some effort - but instead your current branding is too important in a marketing sense to participate? And people wonder they call you a souless corporate team (I don't wonder at all, just some do)

2. House of Pain

I let the draw slide, as it wasn't officially a loss - but I feel the need to point out, injuries or no injuries, you let the whole 'Fortress Subi" thing down, and this saddens me greatly.

3. Phil Matera

Is there a more annoying seagull in the competition?

4. Ladder

Whilst personally I am more worried about a top 4 spot from here, it would be remiss of me not tto draw your attention to the ladder at this point. Whilst finishing above you means diddly squat, I am sure you'll all fire up with delight pointing out we as Fremantle supporters are weagle focussed, that it doesnt worry you, and other tired cliches, but I dont care, it's fun.

On this topic, however, you'd have to think we are going to go close on a top 4 spot, if we can do the bulldogs this weekend, then see what happens.

5. Round 22 - Derby

We are going to tear you a new one.

6. The current midfield 'stars'

Benny has gone missing, Judd's taken the fat cash and decided to not get another kick this year, Kerr has gone backwards ... its up to Brauny to fly the flag for you (Speaking of which, hi Brauny when you read this, good to see you still posting here). Alot of cash amongst those 3 - just not alot of ticker when it gets tough, it seems.

Also, in parting, it is with some sadness I notice there is beggining to be a proliferation of posters on this board, who use the letter Z as an alternative to 'is' and GeNerRalLy PoSt lIkE ThIs :) :) ;) ;) !!!?!?!

My message to you: stop it you clownshoes ****s.

With warm regards to you all,

kuep.

Dude, he sits off packs, reads the drop, crumbs and kicks a goal. Isn't that his job, to be a seagull?... If thats your definition of a seagull, than yes, he is a seagull and he does a damn fine job.

You can just get in the queue with your baseball bat like the rest of us ;)

You only come in here to gloat when your team has an awesome win, and moves above us by 2 points on the ladder.

Wait until finals time, big chance there could be a home final at Subi, WCE vs Dockers.

Ah, this takes me back. Welcome back.

1. Personally, I'm disappointed that the club didn't break out the 1987 jumper, purely because I would have liked to see it again. Whether it makes our club a "soulless corporation" for opting out of the cynical marketing exercise that was AFL Fashion Week, well you be the judge.

2. Oh well. It could be said that that was only because the Adelaide defenders didn't have the common sense to man up on Farmer, but as the old saying goes, if your grandma had a d*** she'd be in the circus. Well, she'd be in a better class of circus.

3. Yes there is, and his name is Paul Medhurst. No hair v silly hair, your choice.

4. It must be a relief to finally be able to say that. Your supporters were all ready to let the games commence when we played Brisbane, then (Curses! Gad zooks!) we spoiled the party by thrashing 'em. Let's have this conversation again in September.

5. The one we have is just fine, thanks all the same.

6. They were playing better on Saturday, I thought. And Juddy's just feeing the effects of a hard couple of seasons. When you think that your man Hasleby had seen so little of the footy in his second season that he'd forgotten what the "S" word on the side of it was, Judd's not travelling too badly.

Thank you, come again.

PS: Oh, almost forgot: :rolleyes::rolleyes: ... and ...

Medhurst might be a little prick but he definitely isn't a seagull. He often creates his goals by taking a contested mark or some way or another. He also is in the top 10 in the competition in goal assists. He is a very unselfish player, believe it or not. The only problem I have with him is sometimes he tries to mark it and gets in the way of Longmuir, rather than waiting down for the crumb.

Hasleby's 2nd season was when we won 2 games all year. Much harder finding the footy there when your midfield is getting slaughtered every week. Judd has found out over the last few weeks what it would have been like. Still, Hasleby averaged more possesions that year than Judd has this year so I wouldn't say he saw so little of the football.

Phil Matera may be an annoying little seagull but he's OUR annoying little seagull and I rate him several light years ahead of your annoying little seagull Medhurst.

He's also an integral, invaluable part of our team and by the way we're well pleased with his contribution this season.

Ah, keup, talk about feet of clay...........turns out that you`re only a Docker supporter after all.
True, but a virile docker supporter all the same.

And yah boo sucks to you too.
Saints preserve us (or not, as the case may be), but what have we done to deserve this dry and lifeless troll?
Whence the hooch sodden references to 'still living off '92', or 'having been gifted with a state side'??
Wherefor the predictions that Clive would rip us a new arseh*le, or the entertaining free word association games?
West Coast, Wet Toast, Wet Scrote, Worst Scrote, Red Car, Antidisestablishmentarianism.
In short, where was the pent up rage and bitterness that comes from 8 years (and counting) of being our bitch?
Lift your game.

Anyway, just because I feel like timewasting, further response below.

Response A:
1. Thoroughly agree about the heritage jumper- was very disappointed to see us not run out in the '87 strip, or at least '92 era shorts, for that authentic 'premiership wedgie' look.

2. Re house of pain- you might want to check the round 5 result this year.

3. Re Phil Matera, is there a better small forward in the competition? No, no there isn't.

4. Yes, you are ahead of us on the ladder, For now.
Bully for you. There are reasons why statements such as 'Fremantle fans are obsessed with west coast' et al are repeated enough to become tired old cliches, it's because they are true. If we felt the need for celebratory posts everytime we finished a round ahead of Fremantle on the ladder- well, do the math.

5. Round 22 Derby. Should be a good game, could very well decide who finishes ahead of who, look forward to it.

6. On the midfield, Cousins has been playing good football all year- he, and ditto the rest of the midfield, are severely weakened by the loss of Gardiner. Such is footy.

Now just to stoke the troll fires a bit, has any team ever been as lucky as Fremantle have this year? You've had about the best injury list in the competition, you've had three games decided by less than a kick, and won all three of them, where but for a few errant bounces of the ball or an umpiring decision, the opposite could have happened. To some extent, teams make their own luck, but you'd better hope you the lads in purple do something useful with this season, because I doubt you'll ever get a run of luck as good as this again.

- About now, you're probably all agog to get the old thought processes percolating and dash of a suitable response. However, read on to response B, and then just choose whichever will get you closer to that nice warm glass of shut the **** up.

Response B
You are completely right in every regard. Your words are pure, goldplated turds of truth being shat forth from the anal sphincter of footy knowledge.

and just for you, Lol!!!LOL~!!! Wazzup Kuep!! Hehheh aww soz :D :D :D

No. Up until a few weeks ago, there was an interesting article on which team had been most affected by injuries, Freo ranked 12th, WC ranked 13th... taking into account the players' importance to their respective teams. We missed 2 of our best defenders (McPharlin and Parker) for half the season. At the start of the season, we missed about 5-6 players in the first few rounds. Anyway, our fitness and conditioning coaches very hard on working on preventing soft tissue injuries and it obviously is working. We have been younger than every other side we have played this year so obviously having young players helps because they are less injury prone.

As for the close wins, as they say, good teams win close games. Same could be said for your win against the Pies or Roos for example. Pies could have sealed it but missed a few shots at the end.
