I highly doubt you guys will put up anything decent anyway. You guys and Essendon and known for being difficutl to trade with.

No, Collingwood are not.

That is just a BF myth peddled by a minority of disgruntled oppo supporters.

Most teams have done and been happy with their dealings with the pies over the years for over a decade.

That crap was started due to the Port - Nick Steven trade. As Port were asking for overs and we rightly refused.

Rofl. Go put that forward on the trades board. You might be surprised how many oppo supporters will disagree with you.

There's a reason Collingwood has had the 3rd most trades in AFL history, and it's not because they're difficult to deal with.
just because you have a high number of trades doesn't mean you are difficult to deal with. You guys were difficult to deal with for the Beams trade.

then why name a club? Why not let us get the best deal?
Why did Beams name one club rather than let us get the best deal? His Dad lives on the Gold Coast after all, and that's why he wanted to go home according to you

Naming a club is irrelevant, do you seriously think Brisbane are taking this stance just because it's Collingwood he named? We will offer you fair compensation based on his market value (which btw is not his original pick 7), it's up to you to either accept it or to make him walk. Other clubs won't be offering you any more than we would so it's irrelevant as to whether or not he nominated a club. The fact of the matter is you're trying to scapegoat him, and by doing so you'll be pushing your club further towards becoming Melbourne circa 2011 than actually fixing it, surely that concerns you?

And you wouldn't take 2 2nd rounders either? Even though you took what, 20ish for Polec who was a higher draft selection?
Point is with the go home 5 2 years ago we were push overs and we are not going to let that happpen again so no to 2 second rounders.

Wellingham selected West Coast & we got the deal done.
Dawes selected Melbourne & we got the deal done.
Heath Shaw selected GWS & we got the deal done.
Beams selected Brisbane & we got the deal done.
Lumumba selected Melbourne & we got the deal done.

Freeman has selected St Kilda & no doubt a deal will be done.

Nothing wrong with how we trade to get players to their preferred destination.

just because you have a high number of trades doesn't mean you are difficult to deal with. You guys were difficult to deal with for the Beams trade.
But the trade got done. There's a difference between a team being unfair at the trade table and obtaining the best possible deal for a player.

I guess your definition of 'being difficult' is 'unwilling to be bent over with no lube'.

Idiot.

Because it's the players future at stake... I wouldn't want to be traded from one shithole to another, would you?

The Beams trade was an isolated incident, he was a B&F winner and arguably the second best player on our list, we had to ensure we didn't get set back X years by trading him away. After the trade was done /everyone/ thought Brisbane had won and you guys were happy, so what's the issue that it turned out to be a win/win scenario for both teams? Usually clubs are happy to try and orchestrate 'win/win' scenarios and in fact want to. Plus, at the end of the day we /did/ trade him anyway, so who would be harder to deal with if you guys just flat out refuse to trade? Hmmm?

Yes and you had no sympathy for a player wanting to be with a sick parent.

This discussion is going around in circles.

Newsflash hence why I said as far as I am concerned. I highly doubt Schwabb Leppa dn Lethal will accept that.

Newsflash, then why ask him to offer something better? :$

As others have stated, if the main reason was to be closer to his father, he would have considered the suns- his father lives on the Gold Coast, not in Brisbane.

Don't care if we get nothing if in the long term it sends a message that we are not a feeder team.

It won't send that message lmao. How on earth would it do so? All it does is emphasize the contempt your coach and your club has for its players and it will make the AFL incredibly displeased as you'll be throwing away a chance at further rebuilding. It's probably the worst move you could make.
