That's what I thought would be pretty close, would be happy to pay a little more noting the tanty Brisbane are pulling but not much.

I dont' see why we cant have this year's 1st, 2nd and a 3rd rounder for Treloar to give them the points
Then next year's first for Aish.

Reportedly we are being cawkblocked on the Treloar deal as well as Aish.. Why is everyone being so rough with these fellas.

Fine. He goes to Carlton. The 3 stooges at Collingwood can go whinge all they like to the media how they've been unfairly treated. We've got picks 2, 17, 21 and will get 2 young highly rated kids from QLD. Do we really need another mid 20s pick?
Given you've just had arguably your worst season in a decade of failure, I'd say that you need every pick you can get.

It's just posturing by GWS. Pretending they can field offers from whomever and Treloar might take one, leveraging us. Reality is, GWS aren't as stupid as Brisbane and when the deadline approaches, they'll take a first and a future second rather than lose him for nothing. The downside is it drags on throughout the entire trade period, stuffing up any potential Aish trade.

Gubby doesn't move easily. When he was at Collinwood we landed our targets. when he was at Brisbane they landed their targets. He's don't a good job with players in and out at GWS. He extracted his pound of flesh from in the Shaw deal with us paying some of his salary. This was never going to be an easy or quick deal.

Treloar will def get done is my mail and Aish highly likely.

Pies issue is lots of spots to fill so they need to get moving. GWS and Lions stalling is hurting other deals they want to do.

Even if they do get Treloar and Aish in (not counting what may happen to Ox) they have to fill another 6 spots to get to 40. Granted they more likely to go with 38+6 this year but they given upgrading Frost, marsh it still leaves a number which need to be added to the rookie list.

My bet is they will recruit a few state league types onto rookie list this year and watch them for a year.

They should look at rookie listing young Pendlebury and Ash Close, I reckon.

I just think it's strange that the supposed trade of Hampton for Adelaide's second round pick next year hasn't even taken place yet. Maybe they're trying to get stuck into Adelaide?

As an aside Brisbane are even filthier with the AFL after learning the Luey compo will only be pick 39.

Looks like they'll match it to try and get a better deal. They'd be crazy not to try and push for pick 25 that Dons get from Melbourne for Melksham.

Not sure if this helps us on Aish or not. They might need our 2nd rounders even more now.

Gubby is no fool, that's for sure.

Swan has said pies haven't spoken to them yet about Aish as they are focusing on Treloar. When asked whether they still won't deal in Aish given the pick they received for Leun, he 'ahh'd' which suggests they may just have to deal

We want good players, Not some VFL benchwarmer. Shitty suggestions like this is why you won't be getting aish.

Oxley is a good player. He had a cracking first half of the season.

I'd be disappointed to lose him.

No no, the reason we might not get Aish is because the humidity of the tropics has sucked the brains from your club's administrators. Enjoy.

76, so you obviously rate him? His skills seem very good but he does appear soft.

What do you mean by 'soft'?

Is certainly not an inside player, but I've seen him go back with the flight before.
