Watched the replay of ANZAC day carefully and thought Toovey did a fantastic job in restricting Lovett, who is extremely quick and set up many Bombers charges out of their back half during the 1st few rounds. Toovey played tight and Lovett became disinterested. Toovey picked about 15 possessions to boot.

Toovey has quite good pace, without being lightning, guts and a decent size at this point and will continue to increase his endurance. Kicking style looks James Mansonish but is not to bad.

I'm thinking he could become our 2nd run with/tagger type player along with Brodie Holland as Licca moves toward retirement.

Yeah, perhaps, but needs to hit his targets if he wants to play in the midfield. He's got time on his side though.

Paul Licuria was a very good player in his prime, he won 2 Copeland's, enough said.

I think we'll play him on McLeod this weekend. Keep him away from the floating forward flankers (Pendlebury/Didak/Davis/maybe Medhurst) and keep him accountable, try dragging him to the goal square or at least kick a couple of goals on him like he did against Deledio.

Yeah, McLeod is a good match up, because we know his defensive qualities, but as a forward, he can be easily left unattended and kick a couple, exactly what happened on his debut vs the Tigers.

I really like toovs. At first i thought he was a bit dodgy. But now i realise thats how he plays and he could be quite a handy man. He can play in a defensive position fwd back or in the middle. Also did anyone else see him do some rucking on anzac day. He did thats no lie. So good.

time will make him better no doubt along with pendelbury & cox , however brad dick is not some one i rate.

for me d!ck looks like he will be a good player but not ready yet he has done some nice things but overall doesn't get near it enough and is too skinny , would of liked to of seen Wellingham get a crack has earnt it.
