Why are people saying that saying/doing stupid stuff is a con? Live a little.

living a little is fine, goofing off and having a joke when drinking is generally okay too.
as far as being stupid, i've done my fair share and am lucky that i'm who i am today. as a late teen on the piss most fri and sat nights, if i hadn't scored a chick by midnight i'd usually be looking for a fight. glad to say that none of them ended up the way fights tend to these days, with someone in hospital due to a stab wound or being glassed. back then a fight was with your fists, today it's with weapons. if your in a fight and haven't got one then you're screwed.
that's why being a little bit stupid these days can be a life changing thing.

-Gives you the courage to tell that great oaf in the corner what you think of him.

Cons:

-Most of the above is either not true or not a pro.

Good taste
Good to relax with a cold one
Good for confidence which helps with, dancing, picking up chicks etc
everything is funnier/sillier which makes it more fun
Can make a shy bloke, better socially
