Alernative Srip?

Seeing that the vertical strips was our original Jumper Why not use this as our away strip?

I dont mind the Swans design from 1903 -1906 in black and yellow of course.
Dont know how to post the pic's so if someone could that would be good.

Agree. From memory our first jumper was all navy with a beehive cap then that was changed to something similar to the above jumper but with narrower and many more vertical strips.

You won't have to worry about the white shorts!


The wearing of white shorts had traditionally been the mark of a team playing away. If you are going to develop a whole 'away' strip, the requirement to wear these shorts will go.

How about (as suggested) a yellow version of the pre-season jumper with larger claw marks right down to near the waistline, black shorts and all black socks (with maybe some yellow trim like West Coast)

In fact there more jumpers worn by Richmond than what MERO has put up 1 was like a Willamstown V.F.L jumper & there was another like the Melbourne jumper with yellow & black...
