I was best man at one of my best mate's wedding to his delightful husband last year. I think I will focus on the outcome that only one party managed to accomplish.
It was a great thing that Turnbull did, and if the Libs had any brains they'd go back towards Turnbull leadership style rather than what they have been doing.

Even if they way they did it allowed such hate speech on a national level, it did get done and they can always lay claim to that.

Switzerland has almost zero income tax? That’s incorrect.
They have federal and local income taxes. A 50,000 salary the real tax rate is about 29%…. You are looking at the federal tax rate.

Whoops, came up on a quick Google, thanks AI - point remains re UAE also obvious Cayman etc (but those are much smaller nations without the same infrastructure needs, hence why i didn't raise them)

1. She couldn't be less interested in posting on a forum
2. I don't watch Sky
3. The Liberals did Same Sex Marriage, Labor didn't, those are the facts, and they are undisputed.

there was an emoji next to my sky news remark. and although the comment about your better half was also meant in jest, she appears to be a very sensible woman.

the new shadow for small business (has he ever run one i understand) and industrial relations (the former policy director of the ipa, which champions an anti-union, pro-business agenda and has argued for the abolition of the minimum wage)

The libs policies are dust off work choices again and copy paste whatever the IPA or Gina or whatever corporate **** says.

I feel the average lib needs to spend some time working in retail and hospitality and live off those wages.

I give the average lib 1 week before they quit.

UAE survives on massive amounts of oil
No idea re Switzerland except they probably have economies of scale. And probably do something with all the money that gets poured into their banking system

Your exact words were "zero" tax, so I will ignore debates around setting a lower rate of tax. And I thought setting higher corporate and lower income tax disincentivises people starting businesses.

We have nothing left to generate soverign wealth.

Government appears allergic to royalities in any significant fashion (probably bribed by the mining industry)
Switzerlands tax rate is circa 40%. It is not high by European standards but it is certainly not low. Most of it is a more localised tax and not collected federally which is why the federal baseline tax rate seems low.

All small businesses want to get rid of Sunday and Public holiday penalty rates so that makes complete sense. These rates are killing small businesses and adding annoying surcharges.

Especially here in Victoria and in Goldstein small businesses are struggling under state government taxes and also council rates (especially Bayside!) going through the roof.

So the recount so far as increased Wilsons lead. Is Zoe ever going to concede?

Zoe Daniels conceding is irrelevant. The AEC will decide the winner - not the candidates.

Also, have a sook.

doesn’t change the fact that wilson is the antithesis of a progressive, either.
Yes lets all focus on that issue of vital importance to the entire nation rather than the gutlessness of the party currently enjoying unprecedented power as our elected federal government.

One of LNP/Dutton's election promises was to repeal Labor's tax cuts.

So yeah, party of higher taxes.
Well that depends how you look at it right.

From a holsitic tax perspective, Liberals stage 3 tax cuts resulted in less tax paid to the Government (a good thing)
From a personal perspective, Liberals stage 3 tax cuts results in less tax paid by me (a good thing)

So ... your statement is pretty bizarrely backwards.

Different tax cuts. You're really a low information voter hey.

So you preferred Dutton based on vibe alone?

Well Labor's tax cuts were a reversal of the Stage 3 tax cuts, and the imposition of different tax policy. Labors tax policy (which resulted in more tax being paid on the whole) would have been replaced by Liberals tax policy (which woudl result in less tax being paid as a whole). Given my goal is less tax, it's pretty obvious which one would be selected.

Do you need me to explain it further, or have you got the 'vibe' of that?

You missed the entire part where Dutton campaigned on raising taxes.

He wasn't going to change the stage 3 stuff.

And heres one from the famous left wing fantasists at Sky News

Hardly policy, some ramblings about potential costings made by a fool on the campaign trail.

Trust me you won't find a bigger Dutton detractor than I. But I don't think that is indicative of the full picture of Liberal party tax policy and suspect it was a lazy justification thrown out in the moment.

Get rid of penalty rates then you get rid of any employee working Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Back to the old days of no weekend trading.
