For sure but then we have other plans for trade week as well and if Freo drag it out, the offer might disappear.

I remember Matthew Allan getting a decent contract offer given he had been injured for a while, rejecting it, shopping himself around, getting no other offers, coming back and accepting the offer, only to have Carlton remove the offer entirely and offer him base rate. Allan took the base rate and left the next year.

Sometimes clubs tire of all the bravado I think.

What's the go with Ryan O'Keefe?

Could Carlton move on from Warnock and offer 24 to Sydney instead? I doubt they'd be willing to part with their 10 pick.

24 won't go close to getting O'Keefe. We would need to package up a Kade Simpson/Bret Thornton type with it.

Actually I was talking about the Allan contract there but the same could apply if Freo are stagnating through Wednesday and Carlton are looking at other options.

We would have been priced out in the PSD anyway so from that point of view we haven't made an outrageous bid for him and Carltank still had to give some picks. If those ****s got him in the PSD that would have sucked rocks even more.

Apart from Green I don't think we have too many players on mega high salary so we should meet our cap target for the AFL payment and also save a few dollars on top.
