I have no issues him being there but wasn't he more of a utility 3rd tall defender. I don't see to recall him playing in the small forwards much.

Just looked it up he was 6 foot 3.

I'm my opinion if we want a best of all time side we need someone who can play on the crafty small forwards.

If it's just the best 22 players and we're not picking an actual side we can just fill it with a ruck or 2, kpps and midfielders.

I can't think of anyone at the moment who was better at shutting down small forwards than hart. So versatile. Played on Lockett and Winmar, Scholl and Carey

Seems Johncock is the popular choose for small defender.

Re bassett I would have talia or bock at chb. I know talia only young but he just never gets beaten.

I can't see a spot for bassett with hart, rutten, talia, bock etc in there. He was great but imo is behind too many others for best team in our history. You can only have so many tall defenders.
