My pick is James Worthy. Another player that works both ends and can play a transition game.

PS: Sorry Ive taken this long......

Willis Reed

Maybe not a typical "sixth man" but this guy will be killer off my bench and keep up the defence when my front court are resting to huge effect.

The Untouchables

C - Kareem Abdul Jabbar
PF - Kevin Garnett
SF - Julius "Dr J" Erving
SG - Dwayne Wade
PG - Chris Paul

6th man: Willis Reed

UKUs ask for additional time

* kevin sheehan whispers in mic - UKU has asked for a bit more time to make their selection. perhaps the selections of michael jordan and kareem have thrown them off track. simon dwight is still on the board is could be worth a gamble *

its been a hard day for me personally. many events and thoughts have crossed my mind.

im going against my M.O and moto (good, solid citizens) and pick arguably the biggest douchebag in the history of the A:

iverson-3.jpg

lots of stats including missing practice and shooting a lot.

many will raise eyebrows at this pic given the strong, moral and respectable players i have assembled in this Avengers type team. But I also needed some more flair (to go with Magic), quickness, on ball D (kinda) and a lion heart to lead the second unit.

despite being a moron, AI has ability and an urge to score at will. I am confident being under Magics tute AI will learn to distribute the rock whilst offering another slashing scoring option behind Drex.

Read that and though you were drafting Kermit Washington

Will you be introducing a mandated dress code?

Nobody playing back then would succeed in todays game. It's completely evolved. But you have to judge them on their time. If he could only use his right hand and his dribbling was shit, it's amazing he won 6 titles and an MVP.

You crazy to talk shit about the Cooz. ESPN ranked him the 5th greatest PG of all time.

I didn't take Cousy because it was well documented that he could only use his right hand and he wasn't exactly what you would call skilled with his dribbling. He was a great passer but he wouldn't have succeeded in any other era.
37% career field goal percentage (never shot over 40% for a season) as well.

Given that, I would have taken him with my next pick.

He was a winner. Made the Celtics tick. Won 6 titles. He was a winner. I was shocked he wasnt taken earlier when other PG's like Payton, Nash, Kidd and other players like Reggie Miller, Earl Monroe etc were taken...

The guy's a flat out all time great. But I wont argue it, im just happy he fell into my lap :)

espn had him behind only magic, oscar, isiah and stockton.

Where's Rondo on that list?!

Standard celtics rage rant! Rabble rabble rabble

*Edit : BigFooty automatically editted my ALL CAPS RANT to remove the all-caps-yness of it. Disapprove

Continuing my theme of defence, with the 49th pick in the All Time Draft, the Jodzilla Thrillers select...

Alonzo Mourning

Alonzo-Mourning1.jpg

Zo before the health issues had career averages of 20.3ppg, 9.8rpg and 3.0bpg.

NBA Champion
7x All Star
All NBA First Team in 99.
2x Defensive Player of the Year.
2x All Defensive First Team.
2x Leader in blocks per game.

Monster defender and a great warrior. Coming off the bench he keeps our defence at a high level, daring anyone to come to the ring. Can also most Howard to PF now and go with Dirk at SF to create a huge frontcourt.

Bring it.

Etc...
