Last year or the year before I ran a similar draft, but this one has a twist. You must pick players from certain era's of test cricket, so you need to rely upon your cricketing knowledge of previous era's as well. The winner will be decided by a 3-2-1 vote via PM to me of who you think has the best sides outside of your own.

I unashamedly stole this idea off Danger in Texas, as well as the era's he chose. You must pick one from each:

1877-1909
1910-1919
1920-1929
1930-1939
1940-1949
1950-1959
1960-1969
1970-1979
1980-1989
1990-1999
2000-2017
Wildcard (any era)

It's extremely important to keep track of which era you've selected from. As for the other rules:

1. Bradman cannot be selected
2. You must pick 1 player from every nation that's played a test except Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, but you will need to pick one from those two teams
3. You cannot pick more than 2 players from any one nation
4. Have fun!

Made a slight adjustment to the rules. It's pretty unfair to select 16 Zimbots/Bangas when there are no more than 10 that would stack up, so you get to pick either/or.

If there's a spot open I'll give it a shot. How long do you have to take a pick?

I'd say 4 hours between 8 and 10 on weekdays would be reasonable? People can be a bit more busy on weekends (like me, I won't be on pretty much all weekend)

Gary Sobers.
Damn it. I guess I'll take the one who he's competing with for "greatest all rounder ever" in Jacques Kallis.

Can we make sure people tag whoever is next, just in case?
Excellent point. The time limit will start once you're tagged. So you have until 10:15 tomorrow morning Oaktree

PB you have until 10:45 tomorrow morning.

Also really smart Oaktree, I'm fairly sure he was going to pick Flower either there or his second pick

Can I clarify the rules?

Is it where the player, played the majority of their career? or does it cover their entire career?

Eg. George Headley played from 1930 - 1954 so he could be selected in any of 1930-1937, 1938-1945 (WWII), 1946-1959?

You pick the era you want to put him in.
