No chance Angus is moving. Other clubs are weary of his concussion history. Unfortunately, just like Koby Stevens today, one more concussion could be the end of the likes of Brayshaw, McCartin, etc at AFL level.

I think other clubs would have been hoping he wasn't playing so well and to try and get him cheap.

Good on him tho, as you say can be dark times now next time he goes down.

He's severely underrated... However he does need a good midfield to support him. Pretty much a slower and less capable forward version of Sidebottom, but has better output purely from a midfield sense.

Sidebottom has shown to struggle without Treloar taking the #1 attention, Gaff will suffer too without someone equally as damaging like Shuey in the team.

Regardless, Gaff is a top 15 player in the comp and North should really go hard at him again given he's pretty much a direct replacement for Higgins when he retires.
He isn't that slow, he runs a sub 3 second 20m sprint.

Tagging is not an issue, he is regularly tagged and has been for much of his career.

Two mega offers in as many weeks for North.

Player agents licking their lips at Norths interest in their players.

If DeGoey was offered $1m / 5 years, expect Gubby to increase the North offer to 1.2m / 7 in the coming weeks.
But North seem to put ridiculous offers on the table for any prospective RFA and not sure they have been successful on any of them over the years? Maybe one day they may be successful - IMO Gaff will either stay at the Eagles or if has a desire to go home it will only be to MFC and a deal will have to be done. Time will tell.

Sam McClure would have about as much of an idea on Gaff as the rest of us i.e. zero, zilch, nada, none...he should change his twitter handle to Sam McClick, because all he does - like most of the other people with social media profiles that help to generate income - is say headline, attention grabbing type stuff to attract clicks.

Who in their right mind would pass on any info regarding their contract negotiations to that little pissant anyway?

$1.1m a year for McGover, surely makes it hard to keep Gaff and Lycett also.

WC will have done a terrific job if they keep all three!
"WEST Coast has received a massive boost heading towards September with All-Australian defender Jeremy McGovern singing a long-term contract extension".

Spot on. Singing all the way to the bank and I hope his dodgy shoulder can stand the pressure of swinging those bags of cash across to the bank teller!

Think less than 24 hrs earlier he said Sloane was off to Hawks! 90% of predictions by these numpties turn out wrong. I like they way they preface comments by "my sources tell me" - WTF!

Gaff has said he is open to signing before the end of season, I hope he cuts a deal and stays.

Comment of the day. There are some that would not pee on Sam McClure if he was on fire - he is a grub that as campbell brown says..just makes stuff up

Why do you think that?

I reckon LeCras would be on not much, Kennedy front loaded, we will lose McKenzie next year and NN will take a paycut I guess.
I wouldn't factor much for Nic Nat at all for 2020 onwards, especially when you're recontracting big names this offseason.

If Nic comes good by the end of next year and is worth the big money then you add an extra year and put the money there. If he doesn't, then you roll on.

If he hasn't come on and another club wants to offer him $1.2m a year for five then you've got another year to trial other options.

Either way the money is freed up to sign the guys now and deal with the issue next year

I think WC clearly have the money.

Probably less cap pressure than Melbourne surely.

Now it is a wait and see whether he takes the 6 year offer.

Think this is most outside midfielders and even Balanced mids.

That said Shuey missed a month of footy and he was still playing good footy. The thing that separates Gaff and a lot of other player is his work rate and attitude. Never seen Gaff with head down or frustrated when he's doing it tough.

Very sure WCE will retain Gaff, cant see him moving at all.
We have the cap room as wce players didnt get the automatic pay increase in there contracts
when the new pay deal came in
We where hoping to keep the extra money to get another free agent, that wont happen now

But better to keep Gaff and McGovern as they are proven topline players than to lose one and bring in someone else (whoever that might be)
