Should the crowies make a play for the south australian born cat who is out of contract and wishes to come home.

Power already have showed interest and are believed to be willing to give him 3 years.

haven't seen huge amounts of him but was selected 7th in 2004 and plays half-forward with the cats giving him stints on the wing late last year.

would he be worth a second round draft pick or maybe a skipworth?

would the cats accept that?

i'd with the youngsters port blooded this year they would be prepared to give up thier pick 20(??) for him, giving them the edge!

Thoughts?

I liked the look of him whilst with Glenelg, and seems to have fallen off the radar at Geelong. I think with his height, we could turn him into an Andrew Embly come Trent Hentschel type player. What to give up for him, I don't know, maybe our 2nd rounder, and swap 3rd or 4th rounders. I can certainly see him as being a good player if we got him into our system.

Yeah he is an Embley/Burton with more height type of player. I think our second rounder + our 3rd rounder for Mackie + their 3nd rounder is fair.

Our 3rd round and Skipworth

That’s about it; I would say to Geelong take it or leave it as it he is not a necessity to our future plans.

Doesn't excite me at all. He's not what we need.

I'd trade Skippy for him but that's about it.
Macca if we don't need him why even do the trade

Not really a priority IMO.

We need KPP's, midfielders & crumbing forward.

Certainly should be trading away our 1st few draft picks in a strong draft unless we are getting someone that addresses our areas of need.

We're fine for crumbing forwards now.......Vince, Porplyzia & Bode

Agree need a forwrd KPP and a speedy midfielder.......saw Travis Varcoe play for Geelong in the VFL on weekend.....gee he's classy, exactly what we needed :o

I would like to see us draft a pacy crumbing forward (like a Davey), but it is only my 3rd priority. ;)

I doubt it will happen with our current list the way it is but those pacy players do get the supporters excited.

The AFC has tended to go with players who have more than one string to their bow....if they do draft one I'm sure it will be with the intention of graduating him into the midfield.
