His nickname did come from school. He has an older brother. So he was nicknamed Mini McQualter being the younger/smaller sibling. God hes AWESOME!

To expanded on the "God hes awesome". If you watch the boy, his inside 50's is top notch. Lace out to the twin towers always. He may not be harvey but when he gets the ball he has that time stands still moment like harves. Can weave in and out and still gets the ball into the big fella's. Other teams dont realise until its too late the impact he has. All of a sudden hes sent 4 inside 50s for 4 goals and that saints are on there way to another whooping!

Again, GOD HES AWESOME!

This BIG MAN is happy to be FROM MINI TOWN!!

Nah no relation. Just a proud saints supporter from my boys home town! Got to support the local boys.

Add Gram, BJ (Goddard), Dempster and Eddy to that list!

either way, we've taken alot of Gippy boys in the recent years

off the top of my head..

Gram, Goddard, McQualter, Eddy, Dempster, Ferguson, Birss and of course my boy Heyne in last years draft!

Illbethejudge......i was a huge fan of McQualter's old look. I wonder if he has ever thought of fully regrowing his mustache.

You mean like this?
He can be around to clean your pool at the drop of a hat

His ball use, tackling and even his attack on the ball have been amazing this year. He'd come close to our most improved IMO. Most of our other players were already good players but he's takin his game up two levels. Still can't believe he was delisted at one point.

Yer your right McQualter and Harvey are the same THEY R BOTH NO GOOD HAHAHAHAHAHA how does mcqualter get a game its a joke considering saints are ment to be the best in leauge lol
you sound like a geelong supporter who has lost one of his moccasons or burnt a hole in his matching trackies
Mcqualter should be a automatic selection everyweek and some of your frontrunners could learn from him

'Damos#11' it is probably in our nature to be slightly biased towards our own players but McQualter has genuinely been a revelation this year and it's middle-tier players like him that have to step up in order to win premierships. Your own good self would have witnessed this with the likes of Kelly, Stokes, Corey, SJ & Ablett elevating their games in the 2006-07 stage when your team really started to fire. In addition, players who were aleady established guns like Bartel startd to fire and the inclusion of Joel Slwood drove your team to a premiership (This year Varcoe & Byrnes have elevated their games too).

McQualter is one of those players for our team that has really stepped up this year. I'm sure your perception of him stems from either a lack of knowledge of the game and our club or he has flown under your radar somewhat thanks to true guns like Riewoldt taking the spotlight. He may not get a truckload of the ball but a players ability is not measured on the amount of ball they recieve. In any case, it is improving players like him that propell your team into premiership contention. His attack on the ball is second to none and the intensity that he plays the game with is sensational.

I can tell you that it is players like McQualter that get supporters excited, he just goes about his business week in week out and continues to be a valuable contributor to our side whether opposition supporters see so or not. If he wasn't a valuable contributor i would be confident that he would be dropped.

Anyway, i'm sure many Saints supporters would have some damning words to say about some of the Geelong players continually getting games but we wouldn't post comments of the nature of yours on the Geelong team board - and if we did, we should be shot down for our misinformed and adolescent comments.

Can we introduce an age verification system on this board.

Or a minimum (mini?) IQ requirement?

can we introduce a rule that the Veteran has to make the odd post less than 3000 words? Just every now and then, you understand? Also, veteran, I feel I need to inform you as a newbie that we have a zero tolerance policy for Geelong idiots.
