Another loss but fisher, simpson, carrazzo and scotland were very impressive a great comeback by fisher final score freo 152 - carl 117

Well done to Fisher what an awesome comeback game, marred by poor kicking :( still top stuff to him. Forward line seemed to function well at times today for a change!

We lost that game due to a horrible first quarter, a lack of ruckmen, and some Pavlich brilliance.

Bryan looked like he'd never played AFL in his life judging by his first quarter ruck efforts. Longmuir just kept pulling the ball out of the middle with absolutely no pressure on him. In the mean time Bryan was jumping before the umpire had even bounced the damn ball!

Simpson was brilliant today. His shots on the run are becoming quite the asset. :)

I thought Longmuir played his best game today. He constantly pressured his opponents, and helped setup about 3 - 4 goals in the process.

I don't think anyone was able to tackle Caraz either. Often he would shrug a couple of tackles before passing off to a teammate.

I also thought Fisher and Scoto were in our best.

... And to those who consistently bag Prenda, I thought he was admirable today after running with Pavlich, and then being forced to enter the ruck following Bryan's abysmal display.

What was up with Walker? He must have only received 20 minutes of game time today.

If French were playing, and Pavlich had missed, I think we could have pulled off the win.

Nevermind, we have Hawthorn to look forward to. :)

Great game by Simpson, that's 6 goals in two weeks, Scotland was magnificent and Carazzo was good again. Am very happy to see Fisher come back, have always thought he had talent and proved it today. Good to see Kouta rack up the possessions after a few ordinary games.

What's up with Stevens? I don't think hes gotten 20 touches since round 10, which is very strange for him. If he is playing with injury, than he should be rested because he ain't too much good to us the way he's playing.

We are nothing to write home about, but why do we never recieve any free's in our foward line when there paid up the other end, i noticed a number of times our forwards arms were chopped but no free was given, and the scotland out of bounds in the last quater

with he skills he may remind you of houlihan but if you are considering that he is soft, then you are watching the wrong player in my opinion.

That Scotland decision deserves that boundary umpire to get sacked. They need 4 boundary umpires, they can't keep up.

What about the Pavlich mark they paid when Whitnall and 6 other hands touched the ball also?

Umpiring was woeful and I believe they helped Freo get a bit of a lead on us.

A lot of players deserve praise, but I'll keep it to just a few:

Scotland: Played his best game ever and IMO that's one of our main reasons for kicking a tonne of goals today. He hasn't had a great season, but today just showed what he's capable of. Let's hope his confidence grows on this game.

Fisher: What a comeback! Probably his best AFL game to date. 22 disposals, 10 marks, 3 goals. There's a lot of talent in the forward line with both Fisher and Waite up there.

Carrazzo: Gets better every week. His poise and dash reminds me of Chris Johnson. Oh and there's nothing wrong with his disposal. He only had the one poor kick. The rest were very accurate.

Finally, some positives to talk about.

from the stands it looked like french completed the on ground warm up with the team, hopefully he will be back next week.

French was out there doing the warm up do you mean?

Yeah, french did the full warm up 20-30 mins prior to the game. Then didnt come out in the 22.

Must have just been getting touch or something???

I never saw him, watched the warm up and everything lol.

I'd say he would of been getting some touch, probably some feel of the MCG for this week... we wouldn't have been able to play him on Sunday 'cause he wasn't an emergency, well we could have, but we'd be fined for it.
