This article in todays sunday times shows Peter Bell will play on this year with groin problems in 2006 and perhaps longer. Is it time for the coaching staff to change his role to that of a small forward to prolong his career? Just giving him brief moments in the centre square? Or will they opt to just run him till he drops? I for one would like to see him play as a small forward and sometimes maybe in defence.

I am pretty sure that Bell played a lot of last year on the HFF. I am not sure if it was cos of the injury or to rotate the small slow guys we have in our midfield but I would expect him to have a simlar role again this season

The Worst has an article today stating Bell was offered the safe ALP seat of Victoria Park. The seat Gallop will vacate. He (Bell) declined stating he has unfinished buisness with his footy carreer.

Souunds like he thinks we can go all the way real soon:)

Cannot find a link for those outside of WA.

Some one else may be able to help with a link

Two roles for Belly - first holding up the Prem Cup before 2009 and then retiring to contest the State seat of Fremantle which Mcginty relinquishes due to his retiring.

A few years ago he indicated in an interview he was interested in International Law mabey taking up a position with the UN.

Mabey having a family has altered his goals. Whatever he will be good at whatever path he chooses.

Becoming the Member for Fremantle would be a natural progression:)

As long as he never gets the "Carmen disease", "I can't remember!!!!".

Belly is smart enough to play little roles all over the ground and I would want him on the ground as much as possible for his leadership skills.
