They're both not overrated, they just play outside and get the ball less than others but are just as damaging cause they run the ball up.

Mora was also 17 years old playing seniors against men so he will be fine.

No way is he overrated. I hope the club that drafts him starts him off as a forward and give him small bursts during the midfield as he can be more damaging up forward. Even though he is physical mature for his age i wouldn't want to see him play 4 quarters in the midfield as all youngster need to develop to the AFL standard whether you are 68kg or 98kg

Agree with this theory entirely, but I think the reality is that if he ends up at Freo they will play him firstly on the wing/centre, and then when he is burnt out, off the HBF.

Yeah you're probably right. Would rather see him have his spells at the HFF though, would help the side alot

Suban started behind the ball before moving into the midfield.

Hill started at half-forward/midfield before later being thrown around a bit.

Morabito would slot nicely in at half forward with rotations on the ball + bench.

Headland Johnson Morabito
Mayne Pavlich Ballantyne

would be ideal going into round 1

A bit tall, wouldn't you think?

I wouldn't think so. Mayne, Headland and Morabito are all effectively midfielders with pace. Pav and MJ are pretty mobile themselves. Might be 5 tallish players, but we would be fine at ground level and height would help in the air. Throw a midget in the FP and it looks a good balance to me.

Fair enough, good reasoning.

I personally don't think we are at the stage yet where we can have Pavlich as a permenant forward.

It's definitely a nice thought and I think he will play up forward more often, but still required in hte midfield.

I think our forward line will be something along the lines of

Mayne Johnson Morabito
Roger Headland Ballantyne

Headland, Pavlich, Morabito
Mayne, Tarrant , Ballantyne

Dont rate Johnson, McPharlin as forwards (good defenders)
Even though Tarrant has been great in defense should start forward and perhaps use him as an adam hunter swing man

Negatory hombre.

Tarrant is our best defender. Personally i'd drop Grover out of the team, put McPharlin back, leave Pavlich forward to be supported by Johnson, Keplar and Sandilands intermittently.

I don't think we'll see Tarrant in the forward 50 arc this coming season.

And the big tough defenders we have better than Grover are Tarrant and ........... ?
Well personally I'd be sending McPharlin back. With Pavlich up forward more we can cope with Keplar/MJ/Sandi rotating through as support.
