Your thoughts please!!!

pagan takes our best avenue to goal, and puts him on the oppositions greatest threat. Having kicked 5, could have kicked 7 in the first quarter, pagan then takes fev and puts him back in the forward line.

Two things have happened in the process.

1 fev is a confidence player.............. lost confidence, and thus was a waste space in the forward line.

2 thornton, also lost confidence as pagan showed no faith in his ability.

Now if it was any other coach the comentators and media would have a field day, but no, not when it comes to pagan.

Why??

And if you say look at his past record, well i say ............. "you look at it"

2 flags, 1 against sydney at the G............... big woop
and the other against carlton , riddled with injuries at half time, and had played their final the week before................ not much of a record if you ask me, when you consider he had a very good and tough team at his disposal.

would make more sense then paying a has been a sh1t load of money to bring the club a lot more wooden spoons............... and trust me it will happen.

Wooden spoon? Maybe, but all we need to do to avoid it is to win a few games. Too obvious a statement? Let me explain.

The reality of our situation is this, on paper we can field a fairly good team, not a team that equates to the Lions (or Saints obviously) but a good team never the less.

Football is a fairly unique game where you need to possess a team confidence to succeed, a united belief. Have a couple of players that have lost it and the teams gone. You need to know the bloke 50m down field will win it a deliver it to your advantage. This belief alone allows the better teams to dominate, the lesser ones to be confused!

We are confused at the moment, who is to blame? who cares!
All we need is for our boys to go hard at it, back themselves and not believe the hype but believe in themselves, which must get increasingly harder these days.


We have played the Lions, the saints, bombers...so at least they can go in with a approach that the hardset games are gone and have a crack at the rest.

Yes thats right Pagan thought that Thornton wasnt good enough to start on Gehrig so he put him on that hack Riewoldt!!! (BTW kept him to 4 posessions and 1 mark in first term)

where does thornton usually play?? FB i take it!!!! where did gheric play................ FF. The ball was being directed to gheric in the first qtr, thats why riewoldt was kept to four possesions. It's amazing how gheric still managed to kick 5 more on thornton.................... look don't get me wrong i think that thornton is going to be a good player, but pagan is an over rated coach, that is not getting the scrutiny of the media that he should. That fev move was shocking,. shows that he has no brain when it comes to footy..................... and please don't bring up his 2 flags at north........................ i don't rate trhem at all.................... they were against mediocre opposition at best.

He got four against him actually, on a bloke who is raping no one.

What is raping them is the fact the he has the strength to just stand there, and the midfield have the ability to pump the ball in up to 70 times a game.

70 TIMES.

No defence can stand up if their midfield is getting smashed.

If they had faced St. Kilda how they played against us, the margin would've been larger. Seriously. At least we managed some solid wins and showed character. Most of Hawthorn's losses have been blowouts, and considering that we have a higher percentage and have won more games than them they are clearly not better than us.

Richo? Don't give me that nonsense - Thornton almost has a perfect record against him. In reality Richmond are our bitches - we've beaten them in the worst two years in our entire history. As for not having the desire to play under Pagan that is cleary false. What a stupid thing to say. If that was the case then we'd have no wins, no comeback against Collingwood, no 10 goal quarter against the mighty Lions and certainly no spirit. Even in the St. Kilda game we showed spirit - we managed to kick a decent score (when last year's team would only kick 30 something poitns in a thrashing), it just goes to show that there is a huge gap between the best and the mediocre.

And remember this - we are rebuilding, we have not finished yet. You have to be with us for the long haul and take the pain. No point saying that it's Pagan's fault because we all know the reality of the situation - it will take time.
