A steal? Really? The guy is marginally better than Wood. A star ruckman went 36 (or is it 38 or 39 now?)
When he was fit 18 months ago he was Carlton's 1st ruck easily very good tap ruckman much better then Wood and better around the ground

Does not look like we will get him anyway

Does talk of getting Warnock effectively mean the coaches don't see Witts and/or Ceglar as being ready for a run in the team within the next two seasons?

Witts i would say is still 3 years away people need to understand his still working out how his body works after his huge growth spurt

Not great around the ground, that is a concrn, but is a very good tap-ruck, averaging 33 which isn't too shabby.

But it's not a question of absolutes - who is the best ruck - but who is an upgrade and is affordable.

The thing with Warnock is he is on a decent 3 yr deal which will need to be absorbed.

Need to tread carefully here. May look "cheap" on the surface" but over that term can prove very costly- particularly with list management and TPP.

Warnock can ruck.
The problem right now is the changes to ruck rules could change the trpe of player that succeeds in the ruck. Less strength and more spring - doesn't favour Jolly. Not sure about Wwarnock. Ironically skinny ruckman may make a comeback.
