Anyone here play DrawSomething?

App for iPad/iPhone. Don't play them often, but something to do when on a long trip and you've already checked all your favourite GD threads for new replies.
I get obsessed with it sometimes and spend like 10-15 minutes drawing one picture. Anyone else play it? You see some crazy good pics that people do on it, I'm not bad at it.
Another good app that you directly play against mates is Running With Bulls. A similar game to Temple Run, but a lot more entertaining because you set scores for your mates to beat, and can mouth off to them in between rounds.

Me and my mates went through a phase where we'd play non-stop for a few weeks, then eventually interest fizzled out. Moved onto Words with Friends and then eventually nothing.

Yeah I think I can slowly feel myself getting over it. Running with Bulls is a bit more fresh. I'm not big on phone games, but every now and then I get hooked on something.

I seem to recall reading that DrawSomething was sold for quite a lot of money (millions?), and practically from then on, usage of it just plummeted. It's as if everyone lost interest at the same time only days after it was sold off. Not having anything to do with the sale, but people just getting bored of it.

Anyone know how much truth there is to this? Would such for the buyers to have that happen.

All those apps get sold off eventually, I haven't heard about DrawSomething specifically being sold off though. Pretty silly paying millions for something that will fade out of popularity reasonably quickly.

Yeah I went though a big Words With Friends and DrawSomething phases.

WWF had a little longevity but eventually fizzled out and DS just denegrated into a crude stick man (or similar) followed by the actual word spelt out, which is lame.

Used to play it, but got over it after a while. The creators made a fair bit of money of it's popularity boom though.
