When I was knee high to a grasshopper my first favourite player was Peter Moore our big blond full forward and I had the number 30 on everything. Then for reasons I didn't fully understand at the time he went to Melbourne. The first time we played against him in the Melbourne colours there appeared in the cheer squad a giant MOORE FILTH! banner a picture of which appears in today's AGE. It was appropriate really because like most Collingwood supporters at the time, including the junior ones, we were filthy that he was now wearing red and blue.

I'm not going to boo Taz tonight but I am hoping he doesn't suddenly start kicking them straight.

Had his poster on the wall as a kid, from the Sunday Truth.

Peter Moore was my favourite too but then I went for Ray Shaw after that. It wasn't because Moore went back to Melb as he hadn't at that stage but because there was a game once when someone snapped a goal from the pack and it hit Peter's hand so it ended up being a point instead. He simply wasn't watching the ball and I wasn't impressed so I thought stuff him I'm going for Ray instead and got 23 sewn on the back. HA! Funny the vivid things you remember when you were a kid. :)

I remember Moore as an exciting forward, a brilliant follower and a traitor. Peter Moore did the dirty on us. Taz was just traded because it suited us. Completely different. I won’t boo Taz. I did boo Moore and I still haven’t forgiven him even though I am older wiser and more cognisant of internal politics. You do the dirty on Collingwood and you can’t get clean.

On the field, Josh Fraser reminds me of Peter Moore. Moore used to kick bags of goals, that's the suttle difference. If Josh was cleaner in the air I would rate him along side Peter Moore. As a follower though, Josh pips him.

You cheer oppo players before the game?

I don't really think about it.

I cheer my favourites when I see 'em. Sav for example, I had no animosity to him and always gave him a cheer before the game. I didn't feel like cheering him when he kicked the winningt goal for North that time, after Tony shanked his shot.

I cheer retiring players that I like too, gave Hird a cheer on ANZAC Day for the champ he is. Easier to do after a win.

i must be the one out of the ordinary because im going to give tarrant the biggest serving/boo-ing anyone has heard. why?? coz its good for a laugh.

got nothing against him, thought he was fantastic for us and still is a wonderful player, but i think its part and parcel of changing clubs. :p

No way! Moore was faster, stronger, braver, had a better leap and better hands. He wasn’t the greatest tap ruckman of all time but he’d have Josh’s measure many times over.

Fair enough but I never cheered an opposition player before game. That’s just weird!
And now you’ve brought back bad memories re Sav and that goal. I was on hols in Coral Bay and running between a screaming kid in the unit with an angry wife and the beer garden at the pub to see how the game finished. I ran in to see one brother miss the goal and the other seal the game. Made my day that! Anyway, I always had a soft spot for Sav and I clapped his send off. I have no animosity to Taz but I won’t clap him before the game. You are too nice to be a Collingwood supporter. I think I’m going to have to report you to Eddie and he’s going to have your obviously full set of white teeth removed and place you in re education camp.

He will... at the right hand behind post.

I think the subtle difference between Peter Moore and Josh Fraser is probably the two Brownlow Medals :D
