Probably one of the only media interviews I've watched where I felt genuine emotion coming from the player. None of this cliched, robot-speak where players (and coaches) avoid answering the question directly. Everything was honest and to the point. Great stuff!

About time an anywhere anytime thread was started :thumbsu:

Starts this week against Geelong.

As long as the players know this final will be played in a specific time and place, right? 7.45pm this Saturday at the MCG. They won't just be randomly playing kickarse football wherever they happen to be?

Hahaha I think almost half of what Walters said was typical football cliché, just off the one viewing but I think he said "stay in the moment" four times and "not look too far ahead" twice. I think his lack of media experience is what made him sound so passionate.

I loved during the Roos game all i could hear (i have surround sound) coming from behind me was " FREEOOO FREEOO FREEOO". I felt like i was there.

"ANNNYYWHEEEREEE - FREEOOOOOOO, ANNNYYTIIMMMMEE - FREEOOOOOOOO"

Yeah, I was thinking anyone, anywhere would be more appropriate. I would have thought the fixturing was pretty much set in stone?

Anyone.
Anywhere.
Anytime.

That would look best I reckon Seppo. Could split up anytime into real words I guess, but banners aren't known for their flawless spelling anyway.

This is true :p Maybe he said the typical footy cliches in a non-cliched manner!

You should email that to the club, surely they'd agree to that.

I'd be inspired if I was a player and ran out to see that.

should spend a season doing Lyonism banners

"give great effort"
"anytime, anywhere"
"lets the cobblers do the cobbling"
"we dont deal in speculation"
"we can only play the team in front of us"
"at the end of the day"
"stay in the moment"
