g'day guys, long time reader first time poster.

does anyone remember the match where the dons came back against melbourne from 41pts down at 3/4 time and won by a point. i was only a young lad but i can remember sitting in the olympic stand watching wanganeen unleash a huge bomb from outside 50 and if memory serves me correctly derek kickett taking a game saving mark and nearly taking out a goal post.

Melbourne actually kicked the first goal of the final quarter, so we were trailing by 47 pts or thereabouts before we staged that miraculous comeback. Im astounded theres no existing entire match footage of this memorable game.

got it on video, love watching it!

But if there is ever anyone who suggests Essendon and Collingwood should not have the anzac day match they should take a look at the crowd from that game, it wasnt that good from memory....

41,405 and I was one of them.

I remember that game. Not much of it, but I remember some bits of it. Was this the game that showed what the Baby Bombers were going to do the next year?

Question for everyone, what was the better win? This game or the 2001 (I think) comeback against North Melbourne.

thats a tough one, our 2001 team was far better than the 1992 team comparatively. 47 points on one Q is pretty dam good though
