I have posteed many threads saying we have the good cloke . he didnt stand a chance at collingwood as all positions were taken . plus malthouse hated them from the start . GO BLUES

there was no deal done they were both picked up in the pre season draft

but what you have to understand is that while bryan is playing in the finals this year cloke will be in rosebud on the carlton end of season trip

I was happy we didn't pick up Zantuck, but I thought Cloke was a waste of time and said so. I was wrong, and it's time to apologize to Cam. Cloke is proving to be an excellent pickup and he and Ackland look like they'll work together as a team nicely.

Cloke has been very good so far throughout the NAB Cup, and it's his willingness to work that had stood out the most.

As I have said previously, could prove to be a very inspiried choice getting Cloke to Carlton.

I'm guilty of judging him too soon as well.

Wasn't too pleased we picked him up originally, but now I am glad that we did. Has done everything we have asked of him and more.

Has performed excellently for us both in the ruck and around the ground.

His skills are very good, and his kicking is a treat to watch.

Keep up the good work, Cam.

Notting, McGrath .. hell even to take a chance of ruck depth, I would consider Cameron Cloke. Have seen him do one or two good things on the field.

I was reasonably lonely in daring to mention the prospect there and as such undersold him a little as I had a feeling. I then proceeded to be a little shocked when we did get him. Fortunately though I have not given myself a reason to apologise as I was fairly openminded.

Interesting that attitude was a reason given for his failings at Collingwood. Not a problem at Carlton.

I went to school with these 3 clokes and whilst they were absolute w**kers, they were good footy players, (well Jason wasn't very good, but Cam and Trav were fantastic). He'll go pretty good with you guys.

Technically he is correct, we won the preseason grand final 2 years back.

So, technically we did win our last grand final.

1999 was our last regular grand final, and yes, we lost that. But we won the one before that.

So in our last 2 regular grand finals we have had one victory and one loss.

Remind us, what happened in Collingwood's last 2 grand finals? :D

but carlton and brisbane had the higher salary caps but brisbanes was legal

Rosebud maybe, but if your relying on Bryan come september then you wont see past the first week.
 
don't wanna sound like a negative nancy, but just remember david teague. won a best and fairest in his first year now can even crack a 28 man squad. not saying cloke won't make it and if he plays every week like he did last night then its a sensational pick up, but i still think he has to prove himself by performing consistantly in the regular season, and here's hoping he does, he seems to have all the right attributes (he's far athletically superior to teague which is his main problem now) to do it, but its a long way to go yet.

and yer i think anyone thats not a collingwood supporter would take cloke over bryan right now
