The new Arcade Fire album Neon Bible is floating around out there.

I've had a few listens, they havent let us down one bit. Its brilliant.

Cant wait to buy it!

P.S. I've also heard the new Bloc Party album :thumbsd: :(
 
I havent been able to get the whole album just as yet...

Just bits and pieces...

but what i have heard is very good...

Yeh agreed.

For me, Bloc Party's debut was great for the first half, then tailed off, and this is just a continuation of that tail-off...nothing grabs me.
 
When is it due in the stores?

Really looking forward to this album.

Loving it. Fantastic follow up.

Agree with you on Bloc Party. I was a huge fan of their debut, but this new album doesn't do anything for me.
 
At the moment it's hard to say which is better.

I'm probably leaning towards Funeral at the moment, but to produce an album that is as good or almost as good is a great effort by the band.

Fave songs so far: Keep The Car Running, No Cars Go, Intervention.

Yeah I cant call one better than the other either. I'm just as excited about Neon Bible as I was with Funeral after one week.
No Cars Go blows my socks off
 
Neon bible is an appropiate title

the liberal use of organs and the production values makes it sound very ethereal

only listened to it once so can't really make a judgement yet but the song Intervention has come a long way since I heard a live version.

ps: damn Win's voice is really grating >,<

thank god there is that heavenly female voice to soften it up :3

I always feel like the nerdy loner kid watching the cool kids be cool when it comes to this band. I so want to get into them too, but i just fall short every time.

I bought Funeral mainly on the recommendation of few cats on here whose posts i enjoy reading and gave it a few attempts, but just didnt get it.

And then reading everyone get so excited about this one, in particular the no Cars Go tune, i started getting sucked in again.

So i downloaded the tune (i'm slowly but surely getting dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century!!) and have given it 2 spins so far.

And so far, I'm still the nerdy loner kid. :(
