22k at the game???? over 20k less than last year.

I will be ringing the club on monday to cancel my Auto membership roll over... just to send another one.

What is the message??? after 5 pre-season this football department is simple not good enough and I wont be investing as much into the club until there are changes.... the first change should be the person who put together Dimmas extended contract in December.....

I want action.

Yeah and I reckon the AFL will send a message too at the end of the year. More home games at Etihad, more twilight games, less blockbusters.

I don't necessarily want the club to sack coaches or finger players but gee it would be nice if they could give us some hope for the future starting with a review of our recruitment and development and telling us where the FTF is to be used. If it's to by more hacks then let me know so I can decide if I want to support that with my hard earned.

Not only did I not attend but when watching the last quarter, I found myself only interested to see if we could snare it as opposed to barracking wildly.

Feralism is no longer at the club, but rather a more concerning animal in apathy. We just cant afford to be dishing up to supporters half a season of dead rubber games.

Not really. Shares the sentiment of the majority of tiger fans. The numbers are damning and would be of serious concern for the membership and merchandise dept. last year you had to line up half a mile to enter the tiger store before a game. Now you can hear crickets when walking past.

10 minutes before the game the members was not even 1/4 full. There were complete rows that were empty. I assumed most were either at the bar, or forgotten that it was an early start. There were latecomers, but the general feeling was "why do we put ourselves through this ? ". I was the worst turn out I've seen since the MCG development. Members have completely dropped off, and the club needs to sort through the issues with support, but it is not looking good. I'm not sure if I'm going next week because I hate Friday night games. Walking out of the MCG, it seems others were making up excuses not to go.

Five years of compromised drafts, poor recruiting, match committee blunders, bad match day coaching and terrible inaccuracy in front of goals has cost us our season. Easy to identify the problems (or are they excuses ?), but what really worries me is no one at the club knows HOW to fix the issues that they cannot identify themselves.

The message was there for all to see yesterday. Now what's next ?

Don't think you have to worry about them getting the message Nut. The real question is what will be done at the end of the year as there isn't a lot that can be done right now.

Yep. I am optimistic for 2015, but it will cage quickly with the announcement of Thomas being upgraded to the senior list and Hampson named round 1

do we really award this football department the keys to the off season again? this will be off season number 6..... WHO GETS 6 years??? who has failed to make finals in their 5th season??? and only 1 finals series before that??? and dont anyone give me this crap that we were worse than fitzroy etc etc... we just missed finals in 2008 and basically shut up shop in 2009 and the core of our group has not changed.

I wouldnt mind the club announcing some sort of football department review taking place after the season, no one necessarily needs to be sacked but the reasons why we fell over so badly this season has to be pinpointed and fixed for next season.
After 22k turning up yesterday the members need to know somethings being done about it.

What about the Lions and St Kilda???

I think at the moment we are flying, sure we are not in a rocket ship atm but clearly we are up in the air looking around with a touch of excitement for the future!!:)

I guess we could be the bombers!!

BTW, not sure it is about RFC. I think many in many clubs have had a gutful of how the competition is being run!! I think you will find, apart from SA, crowds down everywhere!

How can you not be concerned if members and other tigers stop turning up because the side goes from finals to bottom four. Gate takings are a significant amount of the clubs forecast income for this year. Any money lost from these takings needs to come from somewhere else. The club should be very concerned and if you are in this for the long haul you should be concerned too.

Not really because profits get rediverted via AFL HQ atm.

You have to experience pain to gain and progress. It only means we are closer to ultimate success in the future and more reason to support the club.

Contrarians survive , sheep die! Simple as that!

Buy low, sell high, ABC!

Disagree respectfully. I think it is part of a wider malaise with AFL at the moment. Starting with ticket pricing for example. Apathy from supporters is another. The AFL as an industry are full of what are commonly known as "Rent Seekers". So many people get a living out of the AFL it's in their interest to keep everything going. Take for example, when Carlton had to change their shorts v the Cats last week. The way some journos carry on it was though the Pope had been shot. I thought so what. The AFL is full of "marketers" and " commercial development" people who all have to justify their jobs.

But Richmond supporters are just over it and it hasn't been that way in quite a while. Generally you still get the rabidness even after losses, not this time. It is up to the club now. I would just like to see them play some exciting football, like Port Adelaide. I'd rather get pumped playing on, kicking it long, some exciting footy through the middle of the ground rather than this chip, hand ball into traffic stuff. Drives me and a lot of others mad. I have around 5 or 6 Richmond mates, circa 40 yo, who swore after the Melbourne game they wouldn't go to another game for the year. Fairweather supporters, perhaps, but sometimes it just gets a bit much.

Lot of AFL is about charades and entertainment. A lot of the competitive sport aspect has been taken away.

Many don't care for the BS aspect of the game and the media can talk among themselves.

It doesn't matter if we win or lose. What matters is we develop towards a premiership that is attainable!

Contrary to many others opinions, RFC supporters are not that stupid to fall for the smoke and mirrors indefinitely!

After tanking, doping and all the other games peoples eyes are a lot wider and open to realities of the circumstances at hand!

Unless one is real with people no one will take anyone at face value and any trolling will get ignored!

I am thinking about scraping my foxtel because when I watch AFL I am not consistently watching sport as opposed to what others contrive as entertainment! I am not really talking about RFC matches either!

Honestly, WWW wrestling never interested me!

Solid point about the Tiger store, last year yeah, you were always fighting a crowd in there on game day. Before the Melbourne game there were about a dozen people in there tops, mostly killing time. I didn't buy anything either.
