We will win by 10 goals

10 point advantage at half time, we will run over the top of them and put a end to this myth that wee cannot run out games.

Gee Whiz that is top value at $7.
I might follow your lead there, of course Im baracking for Port but might as well look at the inevitable and win some cash.:)

They've lost 7 out of the last 8 and they seem to be feeling confident at Alberton.

Crows by at least 75 points for mine.

Because of their unbelievably great youngsters and how they're going to finish top 4 next year!!!

Good luck with your bet

BUT from what i have seen in the last 3 weeks Port are good things almost not quite but almost the bet of the year they will run all over us [that might change once i have seen the teams]

If modern coaching allows clubs to time their PS run perfectly for the season opening first game then I'll suggest Craig is timing his team for the first week of the finals.

But he'll want two winning games going in and I'm very comfortable about the result of this weeks match :thumbsu:

Interesting statistic - Port have not scored over 100 points against the Crows since Round 18, 2001 whilst we have done it 4 times in our past 6 showdowns. Thats even more remarkable given how powerful Port were during 2002 -2004.

Prediction - Crows by 5-8 goals and we will kick over 100 points.

Doubled up today.
Now I've got $500 invested in a Crows win $400 over 60 points and $100 in a first score spread. (Pearce at $16 was incredible value)
It's now officially the most i have ever bet in any event (races, black jack ETC) ever.
If we get up by the right amount I will be taking the family on a holiday to Vanuatu. + I will see my first ever GF at the G.
if not that's it for my gambling for the rest of the year.

BTW today's training consisted of rub downs, pep talks and a sharp skills freshener.

I'm very confidant:thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Lets hope football is the winner....:D . Just kidding my fellow forumites, lets crush those Power boys and send them home with the lights out.

Gee you guys are a very confident lot. I would have thought the way you have been going lately and the way some reasonably good sides have exposed your weaknesses would be cause for genuine concern. But hey, you have won the last 4 showdowns so that in itself may be good reason to be this optimistic. I also think you guys will win, but not as easily as you are thinking. There is a so-called 'nothing to lose' approach from the Power to this game which should be a cracker. JC67, I would be a bit more worried if I were in your position right now but good luck with your bet...

Seriously though, I think September is a much bigger worry for you guys than the showdown. Good luck with that and hope you don't lose any more players to injury/suspension in the last 2 games.

Thanks for the kind thoughts about September. You are an uncommonly civilised Power supporter.

We will.

The selection moves this week indicate one thing this week - we will have an improved attitude to the game.

Expect to see lots of energy and increased enthusiasm from the boys - not because its a Showdown but because there will be a changed attitude.

An injection of youth into this side will have a significant positive effect on the rest of the side.

Proof of where we stand will be known about 3.30pm on Sunday. If by chance we crap all over you the train is certainly back on track. Put the West Coast game aside, every game we have had chances to win but didn't . I reckon we have been slowly improving over the past 3 weeks. This is our slump and nothing better to get it out of your system than a Showdown.

You have just as much to lose especially if you get belted, we have nothing to lose, top two spot is guaranteed.
