Consider that you can threaten people with violence and get away with a slap on the wrist... telling someone they're fat will generally have some truth it. I can think of at least 3 afl players who I think are fat for a professional athlete

Definitely not. The AFL should have a member of their staff at every interview on hand to hand the player the appropriate responses allowed.

Made the fatal mistake once of making a (friendly) joke about my girlfriend's mother and size of her on her birthday several years ago (something along the lines of Heranus would seriously struggle to orbit around something the size of the Sun)
