I’m a bit worried about this test, being in Perth and Hazelwood and Cummins out.
Would be more confident if it was Brisbane but then again, it would probably be washed out.
It will be interesting to see how Archer and Wood perform as our top order is a bit flaky.

100%. I knew hoff would get injured ffs. Don’t reckon wood plays but we’ll still be underdone with the bowlers. Need a huge test from starc or Scotty B.

Starc tapers off as a series goes on, but tends to start as absolute I reckon he's up for a big one.

Begs the question - why on earth did Hazlewood play in a series of meaningless ODI's, just weeks before the first Test? It was as pointless as mentioning Essendon's premiership odds.

He needs to give the white ball stuff up, outside of World Cups. Ashes and India Tests are the worst possible times to be injured.

Archer and Wood are the only threats bowling wise. Maybe Atkinson but I don't remember him bowling in Australia before. I don't think he has.

Archer and Wood are made of glass. Even if they survive a spell you know their pace will drop significantly after that.

They can't overbowl them, otherwise they will be in the Bumrah situation of last season.

If Root gets a ton with no Cummins or Hazlewood does it count?

Despite all the fast bowler talk, the biggest injury risk is Stokes. He’s made of biscuits. I’ll be surprised if he completes two full tests. For those he doesn’t play, scratch those up as guaranteed Ws for le Aussies
