Weren't we apparently trying to trade him to Carlton during the trade period last year? I don't see him getting many games year with the additions of Ellis and Yeo, hopefully they shop him around again and find a Victorian club that would like to have him

Also, what would be Smith's best match? Carlton mid 2011?

Unless cattle is down and with Ellis and Yeo in the team, smith would have to be in some decent form to get games this year. I dong think he'll be gifted matches anymore

If Waters was fit this would be true but we'll still want to play seven defenders.

Kinda says something when Smith has not once been mentioned in our best players for a game throughout his entire career. Not that i can recall anyway.

Kicked 2 goals in that carlton game in 2011 in what most people say was his best performance.. wowee, still wasn't in our best players for that game.

Poor old razzle. Played well last year.showed more than smith. I understand why he was cut and has a lower ceiling but would have preferred razzle rather than smith on our list

I've had mixed views on Smith since he's started playing both good and bad.

I think Smith will be better off under Simpsons gameplan and be able to use his pace and be more creative .

His got one thing going for home and that is his got speed. However I haven't seen him use it to advantage anywhere near enough in his numerous chances. If you put him in the back line you're pretty much playing with 5 defenders because he has no interest in tight defence.

Built like a brick sh**house (bit like Brown) but plays like a kid in the Under 9's waiting for the outside ball. Part of me hopes Simpson can reinvent him maybe using his speed through the middle which is something we lack but more of me says cut our losses with the hack and let him focus on his fashion label.

Disagree. The man decides to flop his hair out of his eyes in a marking contest before trying to stick the fist in. 0.3 second delay has caused him to be beaten in one on one on at least 12 occasions last year.
