If we have a midfield and forward coach(s) lined up who are currently still working at a club playing finals, it's not surprising the announcements haven't been made regarding Clark and Russell.

The Greaves decision is big; opens the door for an experienced operator to work as a sounding board for Voss - Chaplin would be a great get in that role (as would Ken ducks for cover).

More likely we don't get to talk to these prospects until their season is over. For now we/they probably just flag an interest.

In regards to the ones who just left first consider some professional respect that you would wait a little while and also replacements may not be arranged for those who chose to leave etc

I dont think he or Russell has necessarily survived.

Both are out of contract so could be announced as part of an announcement for the new coaches who are signing up ("here are our new coaches, and as a result these coaches are departing") OR they have been signed up elsewhere so we're leaving it to be announced by the other club they are going to.

Our defence was arguably the best part of our team this year, at least in the first half of the season anyway.

So it would be astonishing if Russell survived and Hammill didn't. I just dont see it happening. Think it just hasn't happened yet.

As for guarding space, you would think that by now, they would have worked out it doesn't work if teams know how to hit targets.

The youngsters working under Lonergan always spoke highly of him. Sounds like poached rather than sacked. Greaves had to go as he was “monitoring coaches/performance”.

How do we judge who’s a good assistant coach when they don’t really have control over their section? They’re so reliant on people playing their role, the other. Assistants and the head coach.

Extremely disappointed with the loss of Lonergan getting poached.

He and Power have put in a mountain of work to develop our kids. Many of them are well ahead of where I thought they would be.

I'd have outed all of Hamill, Greaves, Clarke and Russell.

Oh well, before the final verdict comes in, let's see if there's more outs and who comes in.

This entirely. Ball movement was so stilted, unless we were going back to go forward. Kick outs pathetic, no inclination or ability to create space. Same MO time after time, Oppo gives up short to left pocket, then long down the line to contest. We need players good enough and brave enough to take on a more challenging kick and more importantly players moving to create options either for themselves or as decoys.
