We keep rolling on this week to Cincy, which is basically a mini US Open with the way the grounds look now. Most of the top guys are here with Nadal being the exception still having issues with the knee. Tsonga is out to with having a car accident and getting stiches for his knee, he'll be playing in New York. While with the girls, Sharapova, Ivanovic and Azarenka are out but the rest are in so very strong fields with this being the main lead-in to New York.

Play has started and we have already had some Aussie involvement. Tomic pulled off a bit of a surprise by beating another young gun in Ryan Harrison, match wasn't shown so can't say how the match played but solid result for Tomic who gets to face another american Brian Baker in the 2nd round, match will be played around 5am tomorrow (3rd on court 3), unsure whether ESPN are showing it. Lleyton Hewitt got a WC and faced Youzhny in the first round, another solid consistent performance to beat Youzhny 6-4, 6-4. Seemed to be moving very well and frustated Youzhny, got to serve a lot better though. Triocki in the enxt round is another winnable matchup where Triocki can give a lot of errors, hopefully Lleyton can take advantage. Matosevic was able to qualify as well and had a good draw facin the claycourter Andjuar in the first round. So it would be a 6-3, 6-4 loss for Marinko, he is still contiuning his very good year though.
A couple of Aussie women too, Stosur has her 2nd rounder against Medina Garrigues on at 5am on Europsort, Sam should be too strong and she needs the wins badly, hope for a good week where potnetial 3rd rounder is Petrova. Dellacqua qualified as well but got spanked by Larsson this morning.
As far the top guys go, Murray might actually be the favourite slightly, in great form, lastw eek withdrawl didn't mean anything and should kick on from Olympic gold. Roger should be well rested and set to go, he would be just slightly behind Murray. Djokovic won last week but surely he will burn out as we get deep in the tournament.
ESPN and Eurosport are covering it as always in the mornings.
