With Sydeny's lack of tall forwards, do you think Austin will spend a considerable time up forward? I've heard he can play both in defence and attack. Is it worth trying him in attack?

if there isnt a great match for him then yes, however if he is managing OK id much rather see waitey thrown forward, much more dangerous.

EDIT: Good luck Aussie!!!

Austin does have KP forward potential. But at this early staage, I'm pretty sure Ratten would be keen for him to play a clearly defined role in the defensive half. :)

Good luck tomorrow Aussie. I saw Austin today at the Bullants game and he will need another good year or two in the gym before he is ready to settle in as a true CHB.

Have to hope that by the end of 2009 we have decided on who is to be the core of our backling - gee gee Geelong is sensational - takes one's breath away :p

So if a young player has played in defence all this year in the seconds, then lets move him forward????????

am i missing something or is that possibly the stupidest suggestion i've read here!

if any of our defenders go forward, it will obviously be Waite, not the second gamer who has been groomed as a defender all year. ffs, think a little.

He's played up forward for the Bullants a few times.

How would you know what his best position is if you don't try him in different ones?

Think I might have to disagree with you here parrot. Set him to play in the back half, and move Waite forward if we have to.
