I'm bias as I played with him, so yes, I would take a punt on him, if there are no other key talents available like McPhee.

He has good speed, and is a strong mark. He played as a forward when I played with him at Caloundra. He's not really a KPP, but more of a flanker, and he could be of use on our half-Back flanks, since our forward structure is already strong.

Thanks for the positive feedback mate, unlike the other comedian that can barely put a sentence together.

I think there is no way we're going to draft a guy that we passed over four times last year, who has since been delisted after only one season by another club.

I mean think about it seriously. We didn't draft runners at 20 and 36, we drafted KP players. And we still weren't interested in Lucy. That says a lot. The fact that he has since been delisted only proves that we were right.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree, but having said that I wouldnt be too fussed if we picked him up (of course if McPhee is available, that one is a no brainer).

Why would we want to pick up a guy who's been delisted after one year on a list by a team with a youth policy?

Obviously he has some serious issues.
Essendon have a youth policy ???

I've realised they have an ex-carlton/indigineous policy.

Before everyone pre-judges the bloke, have any of you actually seen the guy play? He looked quite good for the Bendigo Bombers from the (admittedly) little that I did see of him last year. In trying to make room for a larger than average swag of draft picks Sheedy can make some funny decisions sometimes. Lucy seems to run the lines well and could be a decent third ‘tall’.

Agree completely. Was rated very highly on BF before the draft, many saying he was better than Bower and top 20, obviously the recruiters didn't agree, hence he went at 66 (or there abouts). If he was any good someone will have picked him up well before, and how many players are delisted after only one year:confused: . IIRC, he was contracted b/c all 1st years sign 2 year contracts - goes to show how little Essendon rate him. Hopefully we pass.

Can anyone name one delisted Bomber player in the past ten years who has then been succesful at another club?

Justin Madden??? I think he started his playing career at the Bombers??

Edit - Woops! Would have been over 10 years ago!! Sorry

Yeah, that was about 20 years ago BG.

Yes I know. I didn't take into consideration the "over 10 years ago" requirement until it was too late :o
