as an immigrant from jordan who has grown up mostly here, i have to say Australia day feels more like "white aussie bogan" day and they are pretty much the only ones who celebrate it

i love australia day
one of my fav days of the year. been here since i was two and a half.
nothing beats being around friends on a hot day, having a few drinks with the cricket and tennis on tv, slip and slide and kiddy pool to cool down in. plus hottest 100 in the background.

Thank goodness I've made it Australia WEEK (as Sam implored us to make it a number of years ago), otherwise I would be working on Australia Day. This year will be a little different to others, normally it's trying to play a test match innings in the paddock with the lads with the Hottest 100 in the background. This year I've splashed out and am headed to the Adelaide Oval.
