Are even worse at Xmas, don't put on extra casual staff, flog their staff and contractors to the bone.
Are they Australia's worst company behind Telstra?

NO. You try working under the logistics of sending a letter anywhere in Australia for 60c. The increase in parcel shopping and online orders is taking its toll and mounting pressure on the system. However it keeps them in profit. It is annoying as a postie, but there are a lot of worse jobs around. People need to stop being so precious about our postal system because it is one of the best in the world and one of the few turning over a profit, not being propped up by the government.

So a company that is getting extra profits from ten fold internet sales through parcels is cutting posties and parcel deliverers wages.
Never questioned worst jobs in the world. Annoying? People fight wars for your freedom and some folks clean out your blocked sewers, and you are worried about what?
Precious, well the public pays for a service and some flog chucks your parcel at the door because he can't be bothered stopping, leaves a card for a service you have already paid for?
Turning over a profit whilst ripping off all new employees, on different wages from the past who your/our forefathers worked there arses off for, yeah sounds great:rolleyes:

Never had a problem with the local postie and am lucky enough to know the local AusPost courier but I have many a story about the poor form of just dropping a parcel off anywhere or not even knocking and leaving a card in the letterbox.

As for worst companies in Aus Foxtel are in a clear second place behind Telstra in my eyes.

You sound like a disgruntled employee, find a better job. There are some around for people with no skill other than to hold a motorcycle license. It has gotten me through uni fine. The only reason the new staff are paid less is because they don't get the 15% shift pay loading allowance because they start at 7am not 6am.

Never had an issue with them

Find it fascinating I can post something at 4pm in Melbourne and have it arrive in Queensland at it's destined address the next day for the price

One of those ones where I've heard so many horror stories but have never personally had a problem with them, in fact they've provided me with nothing but quality service, so maybe I'm just fortunate.

Never had a problem with our posties [bike or delivery van].Our delivery van guy is good and most ordered stuff arrives on time.

Only one problem we ever had was my sisters friend sent a parcel of a book and gift card to our house for my niece and we never ever got it.Turns out months later we read in the paper about a postie delivery van driver [not our local guy] from our post office had pinched heaps of mail.

My mum sent a box full of tools/equipment and various other usefull items to my brother in a big box when he moved to Melbourne that were surplus to requirements at Mum's house -

Sent it through a private courier company (can't remember the name at the moment) and the pricks lost the f*cking package... never to be found again..

Mum got her money back and some, but it wasn't really the point -

She said next time she'll probably just use Australia Post

I bought a book from a bloke in Bendigo on Sunday night and it arrived yesterday. No complaints here.

My brother twice sent me DVDs recently from up past Shepparton and they arrived in under 24 hours, yet something coming from Melbourne or even Geelong seems to take longer.Very odd.

I live in Adelaide so it took two days, which is pretty good.

But you sound like someone who has a future and disregards people who are getting their rights stripped from them.
So are you OK with the customer getting ripped off?
I am aware of the 15% less shift pay where the Posties are force to work in the summer heat also, in a job that is one of the most dangerous in the world.
You are a postie that has a future else where, you sound a little selfish about your work mates.:(
