As for Switzerland, they have high gun ownership because of their mandatory military service for all able bodied men. That consists of basic training followed by refreseher courses until you are 35. Once they leave the military they can take their guns with them. In short it's a different culture over there, centred around their military. They also have very strict regulations.

Gun laws were effective enough already in Oz. It’s the **** heads on both sides of the aisles in Parliament and those who grant gun licenses who failed the Australian people.
We needed a Royal Commission into Bondi yesterday and one into Port Arthur 29 years ago.

The stat was 70 people in NSW owned more than 100 firearms each. One person owned 359 and they were a farmer/hunter/collector
