I can't see any other threads about this, so I thought I'd write one.

Who here watched it and what did you think? I personally thought it was pretty damn boring. And the immunity challenge that didn't even work........great stuff Australia! Really showed the Americans how it was done!

One last thing, what was with that Lucinda(??) lady voting herself off? Why would you even bother going through the whole audition process, and being lucky enough to be one of the chosen few......to vote yourself off is just stupid.

I know somehow I will end up enjoying the show, and watch it every week, but it was a pretty poor start!!
 
Thought it was really lame and boring. Couldn't believe they stuffed up the immunity challenge! Only in Australia... They stuffed up one in America too, but at least it never went to air, they just did another one instead. That's what they should have done here - it was embarrassing and cringeworthy.

And what's with the immunity BELL??? A shocker!

My view...

I want 60 minutes of my life back, thank you channel 9! Seriously, I thought it was very boring, the music wasn't all that great and the setting for the "tribal council" was very poor. I almost laughed when I saw that... there doesn't seem to be enough space in that "shipwreck", and the props (not to mention the immunity "bell") were so goddamn awful. The host tries his hardest to make the show interesting, but fails. The only positive thing I could say about the show was the youngest Survivor, an 18 year old student my the name of Jane, the only reason I watched the whole show through, even went it started to get boring. :D

Bring back Survivor 4!
 
I thought it was pretty lame but I agree with Stucey, I'll end up watching the whole series and get hooked :rolleyes: :o :D
The immunity challenge, when I saw them standing in their huddles then with 'forty minutes later' coming up and seeing them shivering, well that was the funniest!! Bloody South Australia :p
I felt sorry for the sick guy, I think his name was Paul? Lucinda never shut up, I'm glad she got booted. I also got sick of that athlete girl, thinking she's better than everyone else :rolleyes:.
I am somehow favouring Kadina, cause I always used to stay near that town. The Aussies don't take it as seriously as the Americans. Survivor 4, bring it on! Actually, I'd rather The Mole starting next week! YAY! :)
 
what a wannabe piece of crap. What was the point of waiting for some piece of wood to burn out, it should of been who caught it on fire first.

And the tribal council area was so plactic.

And the immunity bell, waht a joke.
 
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought it was total trash. This is the complete crap we are going to watch while Channel Slime delays Survivor 4 because apparently the public is too stupid to cope with 2 shows at once. :rolleyes:

The immunity challenge was just embarrassing, and the camerawork is terrible. The music is poor, the props are B-grade. The only highlight was that incredibly annoying Lucinda getting kicked off, and Jane...what a honey!!!

Robert Dickson is still there however!

You mean to tell me that there is an Australian version of Survivor being aired over there?

This has got to be a rip-off of the real Mark Burnett version, am I correct?

All you survivor haters, come on over to my place starting Feb 28 for Survivor 4: Marquesas, had survivor partys at mine and my friends houses every week during 3, good excuse to get together, drink some brew, and yell at the TV.

Thats one hour of my life that i wasted, and how much of a joke was that immunity challenge?? lol, that made them look good didnt it??

If the first episode is anything to go by then the show will be canned soon (fingers crossed!!)
 
I agree with the camera work - crap. During the challenge you couldn't keep up with it all it was all over the place and kept cutting ahead. Frustrating stuff.
 
You could only hope it gets better, otherwise it may become a ratings dud. They should have redone a proper immunity challenge. They should have planned for it better as it is usually windy on the coast.

The IT guy who pulled out of the challenge sick won't go far, as he is struggling without a decent feed after just a couple of days - how the heck could he make a month on rice ... although catching fish looks pretty easy.

Couldn't believe when they were arranging camp, they didn't light a fire first - as you can always put up a temporary shelter by moonlight if needed. No wonder they froze. Doh!

Also, if they are going to have tribal council on a ship wreck, they should make them walk the plank into the sea when they are evicted.
 
Couldnt agree more....utter trash. They better not postpone Survivor 4 for this crap! Its hard enough not finding out who got kicked off when were a day behind the americans...if they do the whole series and then we get we will know the winner for sure!!

The aussie version is ****e though, shoddy camerawork, not very interesting people, bad landscape, too easy to provide food etc etc...just CRAP! Bring back the Americans!

Yeah they are going to show Survivor 4, when Aussie Survivor finishes. Which'll be far too late, because we'll already know the result of Survivor 4 by then. Bloody ridiculous!
 
I don't really care, I don't watch it. But I still have this to tell people whenever it arises in a conversation....I KNOW ONE OF THE GIRLS ON THERE! :D Not personally, but her family, and I've played netball against her, stuff like that. The girl is Naomi Knight. She lives/lived (not sure which) in a town about 20km from me. And didn't that just make everyone's day?! :D :rolleyes:
