I think Kang being forcibly removed from the story is the best thing for Marvel. Being defeated by Ant Man in 3rd movie and to be the main villain in Avengers would have been awful imo

Doom hasn’t been introduced yet besides in the teasers through other actors is already more threatening and intense

Marvel realising they stuffed things by and large post Endgame (with the exception of Spiderman), girl-bossing too close to the Sun. This goes back to mostly the characters and stories people like, rather than the characters people were told to like and the views they should hold so it's likely to be a big success. Whether Marvel bounces back is if they learn their lesson and give fans the movies they want, rather than preaching at them after the old popular characters go back into retirement.

I mean they had to explore other characters after endgame. You cant hang on the same 4 guys forever. The audience and actors themselves were burnt out after 15 - 20years. Thor, Iron Man, Cap, are the main box office appeal heroes. It's always going to be hard to usher in the next wave of A - List Supes.

And saying "Girl bossing" or "woke" is just lazy. Women superheroes exist in comics as well. Girls can watch these movies as well and have characters that they want to connect with as well. The movies themselves were either just poor, or the Superheroe fatigue had well and truly set in.

Girl bossing is not female super heroes. Fans didn't complain about Black Widow, or going DC earlier Supergirls, because they weren't taken as perfect out the box and every male around them had to be less. Or if you want to go non-comic book, some of the most iconic action heroes of all time are Ripley and Lara Croft. The former especially relatable as she's not perfect, does get scared and doesn't need to show up everyone around her.

What was Captain Marvel's arc? That she was perfect all along and it was just the patriarchy keeping her down. I mean the 'boss fight' song was 'I'm just a girl'. Disney confused, appealing to a broader audience, with belittle the bulk of the audience you already had.

I mean in some regards we were lucky it held out to Endgame, Disney shitted on Star Wars from the start of acquiring that franchise, telling the majority of the fan base 'Hey we hate you, you suck!'. It at least was only a few years of Marvel doing the same.

Doomsday is an obvious walking back of their philosophy post-Endgame. How many fans they've told they suck, they get back now they are desperately trying to appeal to them again, is going to be interesting to see. This will be a success, but how big, we'll see.

To be fair that version of Kang in Quantumania was chump change really in the grand scheme of things. That was not going to be the Avengers level threat. It was the Council Of Kangs seen in the post credits. If Majors hadn’t ****ed it up, we could have seen the real plan with Immortus, Prime Kang and so on who would’ve been on a completely different power level to what Quantamania had. It’s all what ifs now I guess.
