According to Hawthornfc.com.au

Hawthorn has also appointed John Hook as general manager football operations for 2003, after he held the business operations manager position for the past two years.

Hook has been with Hawthorn for more than 20 years and previously worked as the club’s football manager for 12 years. He will deal with the day-to-day operations of the football department, while continuing his duties as a board member with the Box Hill Hawks.

Maybe Hook should join Brown at the ACB!! Hawthorn should have got rid of him when they were cleaning out the footy dept...he's useless!!! The club wanted new blood? Much prefer Parkin to have stayed on at Hawthorn.

They have given Bucky a 12 month contract as opposition analyst

You want to give John Hook the hook? :D
I don't know if I'd like Gary Buckenara's new job. Imagine having to watch someone else while the Hawks were playing.
I'm sure Bucky will be good.

May be that's what he was doing when he was assistant coach ie telling them to kick across the ground to the opposition!!

My sister in law is related to John Hook. I have met him but I am not related to him. In my opinion, Hawthorn would not be able to find a bloke who is more than capable than John Hook.
I think that he is doing a great job and should stay.

He may be a good bloke but so are a lot of people. He has been at Hawthorn 20? years - may be it is time for new blood - wasn't that the aim and objective of the club this year?

HA!

Well at least I have a story which is TRUE.

Actually John Hooks wife apparently works in reception at my Box Hill TAFE (although I've finished there for the year). But ISN'T IT EXCITING!? I MIGHT HAVE CONNECTIONS!

Um, Suzi... if your sister in law is related to him, then you are too. Unless you're not related to your sister in law... ?

I guess anything's possible.
